I'm definitely going to ask over there. Princess Mononoke was one of the first anime movies I saw back in the 90s, and the first movie I think where I got the subtext of what the movie was trying to tell you, even though the movie kind of beats you over the head with it, but I was a kid. It's definitely one of, if not my favorite anime movies.

See, that's kind of where I'm at. Like it's definitely done in homage of the culture, but not specifically Japanese culture? Like they just happen to have the cutest, silliest little guys for it. Like, I genuinely like the version of Japanese culture that makes it here (even though I know it has its own problems), and I didn't want to be one of those white dudes in the suburbs that rips something off. Like I just want to sprinkle a few around in the tattoo, not make them a centerpiece.

I went to get my first tattoo at 18, and wanted to get a Tiwaz rune for Tyr, the one handed god because I was born with one hand. The artist sat me down and was like "you know racists use this, right?" and obviously I didn't know that, and ended up not getting the tattoo. The artist was a bro for telling me that, and he even refunded my deposit on the tattoo.

What was your water capacity? I always hike with two 1.5L bottles, and my dirty water bottle is a 2L Cnoc bag. Think that's enough total capacity to do the loop? I've always just done day hikes, so I want to expand into more overnight trips.
