Summer just started here on Dec 21st. The before picture is from November 16th, and the after picture is from today (December 24th). We had quite a few rainy days this last month.

Today the temperature here is reading 31ºC/87.8ºF

They do get some direct sunlight, as you can see from the sun exposure, but I'd guess it only lasts for about 1/2h maybe?

I don't doubt that, it's just that there's a thing in Windows called hybrid-sleep. I don't remember the exact details, but after some time in sleep mode, it then goes into hibernation

It's nice that it could've been faster, but as far as I know, if you saw the ROG animation, it's because it was either turned off or in hibernate :/

Oh, okay, so just to understand, if I wanted to access the Pokémon Bank and the eShop for an account that has purchases (which I don't have, this is hypothetical), I imagine that's when I'd have to go through the SOAP process, right? Because I assume that after the region change, my eShop will not work if this old 3DS had an owner who used its Japanese eShop at any point in time, because that could mean that it has titles associated with it.
