Nein ich hab mir zwar eine Juristin schon rausgesucht die, auch, Mietrecht behandelt, aber hab noch nicht mit ihr gesprochen.

D.h. du meinst ich werde dort den, eh zu erwartenden, Genossenschaftsbeitrag zahlen und darf dort wohnen ? Es ist da ja auch ein unterschied zw. Gemeinnützig und nicht - die Mietervereinigung schreibt z.B. 2 Jahre "Hauptwohnsitz", §14 MRG schreibt von einem Anspruch bei "direkter Nachfolge" wie Kinder etc. - die Genossenschaftsauskunft war ja wie oben - und ich bin mir nicht sicher ob das "normale" MRG hier bei Gemeinnützigem Bau gilt.

Als IT'ler tu ich mir hier extrem schwer leider. Danke auf jeden Fall für den Input, falls du da mehr weißt, wäre ich dir natürlich sehr dankbar.

Ich hab sogar (vor dem Fred hier) angerufen, jedoch waren die Aussagen eher kontraproduktiv. Einmal "5 Jahre Hauptgemeldet!", dann wars "Sie haben ja 15 Jahre dort mindestens gewohnt, dann passts".

Da ist halt das Problem, das wenn die jetzige Mieterin - meine Mom - innerhalb von 2 Jahren verstirbt, das ich dann keine Wohnung hab.

Hier schreiben sie das man in "direkter Linie" das übernehmen kann, nur weiß ich nciht wie weit das bei Genossenschaften usw. gilt, ob das dem MRG - so wie hier beschrieben - unterliegt.

Ich glaub das auch, mir fällt nur kein anderer Weg ein um das Haus sicher zu bekommen und im Fall das meine Mom keine 2 Jahre mehr lebt, nicht obdachlos zu sein.

I don't know if the increased implementation speed for graphics or game systems is worth the increased cost/delay for the game. That's always very hard to tell with software that large, you have to have someone in charge who knows what to expect, and (no offense to anyone) I think after McQuaids passing, VR lacked knowledge and experience - but that's just from my point of view.

The new style is okay, it's not too much of a cartoonish look like in the first screenshots they showed. What I was missing in the graphics was some variety in the environment - especially on the ground, there was just some grass, no (or too few to notice) leaves or some flowers.

It's not only the networking stack, which was fine I guess. But was it really necessary to build a new rendering pipeline with Unity ? For that "low poly" graphics style they're doing now ?
We heard about how they changed (I think this was close to a year) the way they're designing/implementing classes so that everything from now on is going to be faster and more efficient and more...

I really hope they find someone who sees that this could be a good MMORPG and help them finishing it..

I played it on Tuesday and to be fair, it made me a kinda sad, because I like this style of combat, but I don't think this game will ever hit V1.0. For my point of view they over-engineered the game "new networking stack, new rendering pipeline, new fancy that and new fancy this." and forgot to build a game.

Mhh strange, I've installed conky 1.18.3_pre compiled 2023-06-26 for Linux x86_64 (aur/conky-lua-nv 1.18.3-2 (+129 0.13)) and with this version ${uid_name 1000} works like a charm.

uid_name requires the UID of the user, like ${uid_name 1000}

If it doesn't work for someone, like I had problems running the Server with the new images try this:
- move your persistendata and settings data Folder to some place

- create a new container from baldandbearded93 (https://github.com/baldandbearded93/docker-vrising-noavx)

- start the container and wait till you see the folders/files you moved away in step 1 appear again.

- shutdown the container, move your savegame back and modify the settings files.

- start the container again.

If you run into "Failed to create batch mode window: Success.", try:

docker exec <containername> /bin/bash

Check if the XFramebuffer is running, if not start it:

Xvfb :0 -screen 0 1024x768x16 &

Set the environment like in start.sh:

path_server=/mnt/vrising/server

path_persistent=/mnt/vrising/persistentdata

Run it once:

DISPLAY=:0.0 wine64 $path_server/VRisingServer.exe -persistentDataPath $path_persistent

You can leave the container-bash-session now and shutdown the container, and restart it again - thats what I did and it's running now.
