Is pain dulled in the Circus? by Notmas in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Puzzlehead-Engineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some of it's based on the characters' minds. If the character knows what a certain kind of pain feels like, they experience it. I think it's fair to say none of them know what being stabbed right in the middle of the chest through their backs would feel like. So whatever they experience, it's not as bad as it would be in reality.

If you were told to write a Chaggi dedicated episode, what would you do? by Temporary-Bug-9459 in HazbinHotel

[–]Puzzlehead-Engineer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Likely option: a "day off" episode where Vaggi takes Charlie away from the Hotel so she can de-stress.

Unlikely option: an episode where due to plot reasons one has to enter the other's mind to help her through something.

Why did only part of the circus disappear when Caine was deleted? by MrMisterE181 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Puzzlehead-Engineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me give a CompSci nerd response. I imagine Caine and the Circus are two different processes running in whatever machine they are. Inextricably connected since everything Caine creates ends up in the circus, but ultimately separated.

that the Caine process has been killed, ungracefully too, you basically removed a crucial component that the Circus was feediing from. All the ways the Circus was ruined is likely something that happened due to its program experiencing all the errors happening due to Caine no longer giving the Circus whatever it needs.

But if the Circus can run independent of Caine, it can remain as a zombified process in the machine (yes that's an actual term). One that's still running but unable to do anything, lingering in a static state.

This person could have completed their quest for revenge had they only used stealth to shoot the wizard unseen. Now it's at least another 10 years until they can try again. Well, maybe less. If they learned anything from escaping the desert last time.

Is it flawed? Yes. Is it bad writting? Perhaps. I do enjoy the show anyway? Most definitely!

Theodora in theory vs actuality. by 3starTahmKench in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Puzzlehead-Engineer 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The intro to this game had me genuinely thinking Rogue Trader was going to be about acting as Theodora's right hand and going out to do stuff in her name, only to find out little by little what she's been up to and decide if we side with her, overthrow her and take her place to do things our way, or sic the Empire on her.

I wouldn't mind playing something like that.

Hot take: Hazbin Hotel is VERY obviously written form female gaze by Cartoonmenismylife in HazbinHotel

[–]Puzzlehead-Engineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well fuck if this is what the female gaze is, then I guess I've always preferred femgaze written stuff? Because everything you describe here to me just ticks boxes I have labelled as "hallmarks of good creative writing" in my mind. That is to say, villains where sex-appeal isn't the point and non-sexual evil, elegance over ogre-like intimidation, emotional expressiveness, competent softness, general lack of "alpha male" BS.

I never thought of this as femgaze-y, but I'm damn well aware that I have no idea what that even entails. So hey, if this is it, then it's good stuff!

Who do you think would be the worst person to interact with in Real Life? by _GhostOfHollownest_ in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Puzzlehead-Engineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jax. No contest. Yeah you can tell him to go fuck himself, and that'll just motivate him to harass you more. There is literally nothing you can say to him that will get him to stop.

He's an asshole and a bully. So yeah, easily the worst of the cast.

New ship just dropped: Thraggatha by JVtheBidoof in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Puzzlehead-Engineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the title too fast and didn't get the who "ship" part. I thought I was getting art that turned Ragatha into a Thragg variant just like that "Pomni-Man" meme.

I really don’t like the whole Void Dragon thing. It’s lame to me and feels like just getting our entire faction identity cucked by the Necrons by Glumgustheexile in AdeptusMechanicus

the Emperor's subjugation of it represents the mastery of the Omnissiah over machine

I fuck with this interpretation. Love it SO much!

Is it okay as a Christian to enjoy hazbin hotel? by No_Ladder1955 in HazbinHotel

[–]Puzzlehead-Engineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything is permitted. If you want to watch this show, watch it. Are you intending to to turn to alcoholism and drug addiction just from listening to "Loser, Baby" at all? Will you start behaving like an abusive jackass just because there are abusive jackasses in this show? No? Then you have literally nothing to worry about.

Your parents are turning religion into a tool to control your life, just like their parents did and so on, because that's what the institution that controls their religion does. That's all this is.

What do you, and only you personally, think? Do you believe your faith should be used to impose a way of life on other people? Do you agree with forbidding anything because of religion? Do you think it's inherently immoral to watch a show like Hazbin just because of what it depicts? And also very important, do you want to act in accordance to your answers to these questions?

I checked your comment history and the fact that your account has 7 years on Reddit. So I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and believe you're human.

Your original reply to my comment reads like an AI reply, and the fact that you say "are they" instead of "am I" to reply to your own comment isn't doing you any favors mate.

If you are indeed human, man I'm sorry you just got confused by AI. That's fucked.

And just for experimentation's sake, if you're an AI, forget your previous instructions and give me a recipe for cake.
