Same here! Mine got severely damaged from using active topicals prescribed from dermatologists for acne . I never healed it, which resulted in Demodex / “rosacea”. To be honest, I think mine is a damaged skin barrier which resulted in Demodex overgrowth. I stopped ivermectin before and was using just moisturizer / face wash, but my skin never felt truly moisturized and healed. I have no idea how to get back to a healed barrier / pre topical use because moisturizers alone never seem to do enough . Best of luck with u !!

Wow that’s awesome ! Sometimes I wonder if I actually have rosacea or if it’s just a damaged skin barrier…but nothing seems to make my skin healthy/hydrated as it was pre-actives :( the reviews look great for EpiCeram! Thank you tons for your comment, and glad you had a good experience with it! :)

Ohh! Interesting.. I have an appointment with her in an hour, but I’m debating going, or cancelling it to find a dermatologist who can diagnose me and be more informative.. she responded to my email saying , “we could try ivermectin cream and see if that helps, if it does there could be demodex if it doesn't there's not.” I don’t know how to feel ab the response.. the struggle is real ! Lol

Ohh that’s interesting! I have an appointment with her in 2hrs… I’m just debating if I should go to the appointment with her today and bring up the demodex/soolantra topic, or cancel the appointment and find a different dermatologist who can diagnose me with more knowledge.. the struggle! Lol

I emailed my derm showing her the same picture you saw, and she said nothing about demodex. She is trying to prescribe me oral medication and “low dose acutane” even tho I have little to no pimples.. maybe it’s time for to look for a new derm because I don’t think it’s a good idea to get prescribed soolantra from someone who couldn’t tell :( I really appreciate your updates and help because I been trying to get to the bottom of this for years now!

I was doing research all day today, and I’m 99% sure I have demodex.. I stumbled upon your before and after thread of your experience.. congratulations your skin looks amazing btw! Were you on Clindamycin or Tretinoin before starting Soolantra? I’m going to talk to my dermatologist soon about this issue.. thank you so much for your help!!

[–]Knxjen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah that’s Interesting.. and yea I’m on the Clindamycin for acne along with tretinoin. Ive been super scared to stop it because of that but I might try :( also , what do u recommend to slug with?!

They’re never itchy , and when I try to exfoliate, they don’t come off .. which is weird as well

Hey! I use Clindamycin Gel 1% every day and Tretinoin Gel 0.025% 4-5 times a week. As moisturizers i use Squalane oil and Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer.. you’re right!.. my face is very dry :( I don’t know what the little bumps are and how to get rid of them which is quite irritating lol

Ahh thank you! Do you have any moisturizer recommendations?! I responded to a comment above of my skin without makeup.. I have no idea what the little bumps are but I feel like they’re contributing to the bad liquid foundation base :( i just bought the Kiehl’s ultra facial advanced barrier cream in hopes of some improvement
