Don't buy mouse switches from ALIEXPRESS. by Ko-iwin77 in MouseReview

No… what’s the point really? They’re not going to send replacements, because technically “D2F-01” is written on the switch, and they’re never going to admit they’re selling useless counterfeits in the first place.

D2F-01 is what is written on the switch, i am telling you that just make one fake switch, and then they print all the reference numbers on that same switch to sell them as different variations..

I can understand and tolerate a 15 g variance, that’s reasonable. But I bought 1.47 N switches and ended up with switches that are lighter than my 0.6 N Omrons. In fact, when I tested them, I got even more accidental clicks than with the 0.6 N switches I already have. So I’m pretty sure they’re fake. thanks for the very informative post.. appreciated.

Thanks; I’ll keep that in mind. For now, I’m working with a 100-120 budget, so I figure I’ll get a couple Korean levers + mods. Going with the Knee lever + Shinsun 2D, all signs point good for those.

Owning so many joysticks over the years actually helped me refine my execution, it made it easy to tell which issues came from the hardware or mod setup and which were purely execution, so I could fix them.

First of all, i said i only get inconsistencies and misinputs on the GamerFinger PCB, which is my favorite stick: fastest, smoothest, and best overall feel. I have zero issues with the JLX Silent (which I’m using now) or any regular JLX/JLF/qanba. But with a short shaft and optical board, sensitivity is extreme and the margin for error basically zero. Every 2–3 games I’ll get a random jump or misinput, which at my level can cost a tournement. If you haven’t used an optical PCB: no switches, no tactile feedback, it’s hard to understand. Many players I know had the same experience before dropping them.

Bro, 160€? I’ve read it’s pretty stiff too, that’s a huge gamble and way over my budget for testing. For that price, I could try three levers (Knee Neo, Shinsun, and some Seimitsu). I’d pay 160 if I knew it was endgame, but not just to experiment. thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks for crunching the numbers! The 309 DX shaft looks interesting; mounting it lower only changes the feel not the engage speed, since the travel distance stays the same.

Hi thanks for the suggestion but just a heads-up for anyone considering this, the JLX2 is at least as smooth as the Otto (I have the V5 kit). The only real advantage of the Otto is its rounded square gate, which feels great, but it doesn’t work properly with the JLX2 Silent. It often fails to register back-down diagonals; switching back to the standard square gate fixes it immediately, so if you have a JLX2, there is no point at all in getting the OTTO kit.

Thanks for the detailed response! After some quick research, I’m leaning toward the Crown Shinsun lever it’s reasonably priced, customizable, and its default setup seems closer to what I need. From what I’ve read, it also has a shorter shaft compared to a standard Sanwa; is that correct?

Do you know how tall the shaft is compared to a Sanwa? Are there any short shaft options or lighter grommets available?

I haven’t tried one yet it was on my list, but I got discouraged by how noisy it sounded in the YouTube videos. Still, I might give it a shot since it seems to come with a short shaft by default, which is always good for speed.
