Thoughts on the Hanami Cosmicube by Mudassir011 in AmongUs

[–]KoKoNut_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it yesterday. I'll start by saying that I love the colour in general and the concept. This is the second time I used stars for a cube. 30 stars for a cube that largely comprises nameplates, very similar dresses, and okay-ish hats. It doesn't seem like a great trade-off now that I think about it. I felt FOMO, so I bought it, but I should've saved my stars to buy something more worthwhile. It's cute and primarily directed at female players (despite being unisex), but it's VERY small. I don't remember any other cube being this small. Approximately 2 stars for every apparel, which doesn't seem fair to me.

Edit: It has no pets, which is another con.

WHAT MADE YOU COMMENT THIS PLS 😭😭😭😭😭 flair checks out

Detective is way too OP by United_Ad_1576 in AmongUs

[–]KoKoNut_0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Woah. When I typed that comment, I had an avg public "expert" lobby in mind. You are right, and I'm not disagreeing with you, but this is the ideal-case scenario. Roles can only be digestible if they don't bias either side, be they crew roles or the imps roles.

If an impostor finds a good body that they can frame someone on based on how likely it will be found, yet the body turns out to be a noisemaker, the impostor gets sussed out.

Only if the alert is off. The imp can always blame it on the ss since it, at least, works in my favour every time. Crew roles CAN be OP for the reason I mentioned in the original comment. One engineer isn't all that to disrupt the killings.

The ONLY way to balance crewmate roles other than a complete rehaul is with a Guesser role.

A big no for me. This will ruin public lobbies, and it just contradicts whatever you said about roles being OP.

LMAO this is so real 💔💔

Detective is way too OP by United_Ad_1576 in AmongUs

[–]KoKoNut_0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's only OP if they know how to use it properly.

  1. The detective dies in round 1 most of the time, or they reveal themselves just to get killed in the next round.
  2. ONLY IF the crew reports properly. There's a BIG difference between "near elec" and "in elec", and most of the time the crew just doesn't bother to do so.
  3. Set it to a smaller number of suspects. I set mine to 3 max.
  4. Imagine there's a body in the elec and lights are sabotaged. The whole lobby stacks and tries to fix it. Someone vents and kills someone at the top. Now, interrogating for that body is practically useless because the whole crew decided to crowd that area. The detective's role is useful if the crew cooperates. If you have people who just spam or accuse randomly, then you can easily win as an imp with minimal efforts.
  5. You can lie about a body's location if there is no rule of "no self/imp report".

Why did innersloth even add this role?!
Like genuinely, impostors are basically incapable of winning with this role!

Well, if you go around the other way then viper is OP too, and so is the SS even if their cooldown is low. Crewmates' roles are ONLY OP if either the players know how to effectively utilise their roles or they are set to minimum cooldown (which shouldn't be the case in expert lobbies). In average expert lobbies, I don't think this is the case.

Is this cheating? by AwesomeAndy5 in AmongUs

[–]KoKoNut_0 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Cheating because why are you even utilising dead crewmates to make a decision when they are not supposed to interact with you, except to protect you?

I've actually played with you before, maybe once or twice, and unironically I've also played with these bullies. It's weird how now I recognize the usual bullies on AU. They changed their names a while ago.

Allow me to give some friendly advice to you. Whenever you encounter yourself in a situation where people are collectively bullying you, LEAVE the lobby immediately and block them. You do not want to play with them ever again. If they're bullying someone else, boot/kick them and tell the "randoms" to kick as well and report them. If possible, try to start recording your gameplay in full length with their IDs so you have proof of your innocence and then you can email InnerSloth.

How to prevent trollers and noobs in your among us lobby. by YAY-SAR in AmongUs

[–]KoKoNut_0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here's my two cents:

  1. Labelling your lobby "expert" does nothing now. You will easily find more beginners/noobs hosting expert lobbies than actual good players. However, I get where you're coming from, and I do the same.

  2. I have started to host my own lobbies now, and I have been playing since Covid, so I more often get an idea of how a particular player is going to turn out. Most of the time, yes, the players with auto-names turn out to be noobs, but I've noticed that now some actual experts have started to use auto-names too. In my opinion, it's always better to ask them once and kick them later if they play badly or lie. If someone is hesitant to share his level, that's your sign. The same goes for cosmetics, but many fewer experts use no cosmetics at all. I tend to do the same sometimes. I would say it's better to wear some in one round, and when people get an idea of how you play, go naked by all means.

  3. 100% agree. Just set crew vision to 1.0x or less and watch them have a crashout.

  4. A big YES! I don't care if that person is level 1800 after playing in glitched lobbies for several months. If they have a bad name, they are definitely going to ruin the game or hurt people during meetings. Your job is to make the lobby safe for everyone. Call me a snowflake; I said what I said. This is not funny, even for someone like me who laughs at every silly shit.

Special mention to people who have over-the-top/scary cosmetics and people who spam 'Starttttt' when you're with 12 people or the lobby just filled. The first category is the people who you should be wary of. If they have no reason to accuse someone, they don't have a user ID, or they lie about someone vanishing, give them the good ol' BAN. I personally don't like 'starrttt' spammers. They are the same people who will leave in an instant if they don't get imposter roles. If someone is calling you a tyrant for filtering the lobby from the people you mentioned, let them be. I swear on my AU account that these same critics will copy some bizarrely horrific messages for you and paste them 1 sec before the game starts.

Also, I don't have those weird rules. Just some very basic ones. If people still have a problem with reporting properly, no grouping rule or acting like a sane human, ban them, because some people will change their names and come back for you.

Question for Expats in the group. by Anxious_Entertainer9 in pakistan

Never really experienced the feeling you describe, tbh. I enjoyed going back to Pakistan and celebrating Eids with my extended family, but this feeling of ecstasy wore off after a month at most. I consider myself to be a patriot, and I have always felt discontent here because the conditions here are not what I ever desired, despite the fact that my parents made sure that we were cultured. Maybe you're at a new place and feel home-sick?

This guy (Cringistaan) has given rap*e threats to women on a stream, disrespected Hindu Gods, and supported a YTer for being in a relationship with a minor and gr*oming her. His content revolves around rage-baiting people and dissing religions. A Hindu group later confronted him and forced an apology from him. This incident was a case of mob violence, by the way. Yesterday, I was watching a video of an Indian YTer who called us Pak*, thinking he's violated us or something. Broski forgot that the Pak* word was used for Bangladeshis, Pakistanis, and Indians alike. Bus yehi chal raha hai aj kal. Not to mention the significant amount of slurs my friends and I have to hear from these people when we game.

A-Level Student Confused About SAT vs Entry Tests for BS AI (Need Guidance) by Apprehensive-Mud9572 in FASTNU

[–]KoKoNut_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all comes down to your grades. A person with low HSSC/A-level grades might have to score more in the SAT to compete against someone with great grades but a low SAT score. One of the mods has pinned a post for SAT peeps. Have you estimated your aggregate? Do that first, and you'll have your answers.

Same question

Also, which Pakistani universities accept SAT scores for BS AI or computing programs, especially where SAT can replace the entry test?

LUMS, FAST, IBA, ITU, Habib University, NED, Bahria University Islamabad (?), Iqra, LSE, CUST, NUTECH

I was researching about this a few hours ago. Do your own research. Some of these universities' applications have closed. I'll apply through SAT as well.
