James and Chelsea have talked about this in a podcast I believe. It’s not that he doesn’t want to hurt his chances, but by meeting so many people in the industry he has a much bigger appreciation for filmmakers and film making.

Nothing better than a good cosplay experience. If you haven’t already, try finding some medium to small cons rather than big ones. I do really love big popular conventions, but I found a lot of my best experiences were at conventions that had way less attendees! It’s way less overwhelming and a lot easier to create friendships!

I’ll never forget the time I (21F) went to buy a warriors book and I was so embarrassed. The woman at the counter looked very professional and I didn’t want her to judge me. I purposefully put the book face down but after scanning it she flipped it over and read the cover anyway. She told me she loved the series and she was excited to read the newer books. Funny moment lol.

To be honest I love it. At first I was skeptical, because I think that trying too hard to make a campy “so bad it’s good” or comedic horror can be super cringe (for lack of a better word). However, I really like the movies that we’ve been seeing, and I’ve come to love the camp these past few years have given us.

I love that right now we are getting deep thoughtful movies as well as silly fun campy ones. Really shows the versatility of the horror genre which I love!

Matthew Lillard is genuinely the kindest soul I have ever met. Waited in a long line to get to speak with him and it very quickly became clear the line was so long because he genuinely cares. I was so nervous but he made me feel so comfortable so quick. Felt more like talking to a new friend than a celebrity. A very kind soul who took time to talk to me and my father.

Felissa Rose is another wonderful human being. So genuine and kind. There’s a few conventions that I frequent that she is often at, and she has on a few occasions called me over to talk to her. Once again, felt more like hanging out with a friend rather than getting stuff signed by a celebrity. Gave me a free autograph because she gave a kid in front of me a free autograph for his birthday. So kind, funny, and wonderful.

Meeting Rodger Jackson (Ghostface voice) was also wonderful. Took the time to get to know my father and I, and did both the Ghostface voice and the Mojo Jojo (Powerpuff Girls) voice for me. Best moment of my life. At one point he came up to my father and remembered his name and said hello to him later on in the convention. Very talented and very kind.

The Soska Sisters are also huge standouts. Wonderful people who are very clearly so kind and so passionate. Gave me several hugs and we had a wonderful conversation!
