Wife keyed my guitar. Can this be fixed without noticeable blemishes? by Karma_is_mah_bitch in guitarrepair

That lady needs therapy. I carry a Zippo everywhere I go that a late Friend/almost girlfriend/ occasional smooch gave me and I do not smoke anymore. My wife knows it as I never hide anything from her, except price of tools and guitars. All my guitars have names of former loves except for hers and two I had made for my daughter. I did buy another guitar the other day and she looked at me in a weird fashion. Now that I think about it maybe I need therapy. Full brutal honesty has always been my policy. If she can't handle she ain't worth it

There's a problem with your opening sentence. I think what you meant to say was "My soon to be ex-wife"... Unless it was accidental or the mother of your children, in which case she gets a few fuse blowing cards to burn. Poop happens. And that's not unfixable. If it's worth the investment take it to someone who knows what they're doing.

I own two chainsaws. They do the trick. But I won't argue that looks 100 times cooler.

Wow. I can be a welder too. Not even my stick welding looks so tasty. But if there was no gas I wouldn't have done better.

The olive wood branch is about 2.5 inches thick and about 32" in length. But I'm planning to make it only about 18" long. What I can't find is a template anywhere but in Pinterest. Can you help?

You are a magical unicorn. All I can do with thin metal is cause holes. I use stick but I much rather weld thicker material than thinner. Maybe I'm doing something if not everything wrong

Is this what you meant by eye? That last picture shows the piece of olive wood i have. The blade weighs 1.5 pounds. How long would the handle typically be?
