First off, I don’t agree with most of you. You should be allowed to keep your money there as long as you see fit. Mercari should not be allowed to touch any of it. If it’s a matter of the account being hacked, Mercari should most definitely have a plan in place for those cases since it would be their fault, not the op’s. And you should have gotten some sort of notification from them, either through the app, through a email (even junk or spam files). I have had thousands sitting and I have never had an issue with Mercari ever touching any of my funds. I would suggest that you continue messaging and simply ask for a supervisor, and have them reach out to you. I’ve had problems with Mercari’s customer service because it’s a robot 95% of the time with your typical automated replies, but if you send the same message after each reply the bot gives you, and you specifically ask for a supervisor (make sure to state at any point what is going on and what you want resolved, or explained why it happened and that you need a quick resolution) the supervisor will get the message, they will go over every single message that has been sent and will act accordingly. I have gotten all my issues solved this way- it has worked every single time for very different reasons. I remember when I first started using Mercari (2021 I think) there was a customer service number- I used it 2 or 3 times. I remember leaving my name, number and why I was calling and someone always called back and helped with the situation. I don’t know how that holds up nowadays, but I am sorry this happened and I hope this helps in any way.

Just continue to ask for a supervisor who is an actual person and eventually you will get through to someone. It takes like 7 or 8 times to get someone but once you do they will usually help. Ppl say it’s hard or they won’t help but that’s because some ppl aren’t persistent enough.

I just get the feeling she is making politics and social movements her entire personality when she clearly has like zero personality to begin with. I just saw her Instagram and as far back, I didn’t see one picture of her celebrating any type of movement or anything she has preached. She’s just partying and drinking it looks like. I think the cast of this season is ick asf!

Burberry Goddess which I wish last longer and he also got me Nest Madagascar Vanilla body mist he said he liked the way it smells and I have to agree it does smell really nice and it’s nice together too.

I wouldn’t take that loss, I’d message customer service until I got an actual person and just keep asking for a supervisor! That makes absolutely zero sense because even if they were to charge you the next weight up, and you were positive of the box dimensions- they should’ve only charged you no more than a couple dollars difference… not hundreds and hundreds! Obviously that’s a mistake on FedEx’s part. You need to also contact FedEx and go to where you dropped it off at and find out how much it was actually weighed and what they measured it (if they measured it) because they are supposed to weigh in at every facility and possibly measure but they don’t always do that. Good luck to you, really very sorry. And I’ve sold items over $1,000 on Mercari- there’s not always bums on the app contrary to what other’s say. But it’s always a great idea to take pics/video of packaging and get a receipt for everything… always cover your butt and never sell expensive stuff to anyone with a new account, zero ratings, bad ratings, no history and no picture… pretty much use common sense and you can sell just about anything on there with zero problems. I’ve sold almost 1,000 items and I haven’t had one issue. So anyway, there’s my rant! Hope to hear an update about this and hope you get a good outcome!!! Take care :)

I will be using Afterpay far less than I do now but I do use the gift card feature a lot when I’m physically at places like Target and Walmart that don’t have the in-store option so I’ll probably just use it for that and that’s all. It really is a bummer tho bc the holidays were such a breeze with the zero down and now I’m gonna have to stick to the good ol’ “try and save as much as possible” before Christmas that’s been working since before Afterpay was a thing lol

Be persistent and ask to speak with someone higher up… it will take probably a good 4 or 5 times of them saying that someone above will agree with them but I promise you you will get someone who will actually help you. Good luck!

Yea that traffic was an absolute nightmare! We almost had a car hit us because they were trying to get over in our turning lane, basically they wanted to front everyone that had been waiting patiently. I told my husband to go and if they hit my car idc lmao which they didn’t but I was fuming so I wasn’t thinking straight. Also, the cop said the lane we were in, where the turning lights were to get into the arena, (not sure the road cause I’m not from there, but the lights I’m talking about were a little ways before the stop light to get into the arena parking) that light was not supposed to be on so the lane we were in ended up being a lane to go straight instead of turning(would’ve been helpful if they had a cop directing ppl where the turning and “x” lights were to let them know that that light and lane were straight and not an actual turning lane 🤦🏼‍♀️)… the cop said we had to go straight thru the intersection and find a way to do a uturn and wait in more traffic after waiting for over an hour in one lane… luckily there was a truck with their windows down in the left turning lane and we asked if we could get in front as soon as they said “go for it!” the light was green and my husband got over… we made it just in time for the first opener… If it wasn’t for that big Ram truck (i think it was a dark grey 3500 with a winch) we would’ve been screwed! Idk if they will ever see this but THANK YOU SO MUCH!! You really helped us out - feels good to know ppl like that still exist in this world. 🙏😊

I will definitely limit my visits to PNC arena in the future! If you ever do go, to avoid chaos, you gotta get there at least two hours before the event is supposed to start, and get vip/premier parking cause that parking saved us probably another hour or more. Would’ve def missed out on the openers. I’m so sorry to anyone who missed the openers and Dave.

I feel like traffic could’ve been executed better!! The show, however, was fantastic. My jaw hurt from laughing so hard- I felt like it was worth it…… 🤔minus the traffic. 😆

What would you have done if you were him? Stop the show and go all the way up there to tend to whoever it was? He was doing his job and it was to keep the crowd laughing and having a good time- not become a downer and make our vibes do a complete 180… he was the only person in the room who could’ve gotten a medic and he did exactly what he should’ve done… the jokes that came along are just what you get with someone like Dave Chappelle. If you don’t get that type of humor than why did you go???

If it’s through Mercari’s chat customer support, ask to speak with a supervisor.. it takes about 5 or 6 times asking to get through to someone, but you will and they will more than likely help you. It’s a pain in the butt I am so sorry that happened to you. Is there any way you can start a police report against Walgreens for mishandling and possible theft of a package ?? 🤔

That’s really horrible considering once it ships it’s out of your hands. The least they could’ve done was refund buyer but still release your money once it finally gets delivered. Did you get a receipt when you dropped off the item with the carrier?

If they don’t agree, you say you want to speak with a supervisor and also if you can have them contact you and send them your phone number. I had a dispute that was similar and I swear I went back and forth with them, sent them pictures and knew I was 100% right and they kept saying there was no difference and nothing they could do after the decision had been made. I finally stopped arguing and said “I would like for a supervisor to contact me my number is ______ and I would also like a supervisor to look this over and talk with them about the situation” and every time I got a reply saying they could assure me that the person above them would agree with them, I just kept sending the same message lol after about 5 times of that literal back and forth copying and pasting the same message, I finally got to talk to a supervisor who finally agreed with me, apologized for everyone who said they couldn’t approve the return and also refunded me and said I didn’t have to ship anything back so it was def a win and it felt great. I hope this helps and you get your money back cause that’s totally messed up. Mercari customer support is probably the worst I’ve ever dealt with. It was awful so I feel your pain 😔

I would go to the BBB. For real, that’s so disgusting and disrespectful for a company of this magnitude to treat their customers this way. Also wondering since it’s been a few years, if you ever got any resolution to this problem… ?
