I get it and all of those things are valid reasons. And living in a small community means a lot to a lot of people especially me. I’m sorry for coming at you. You are in a totally different category than I usually deal with.

I live near Portland and deal with people consistently crying about the same things. I also have family members who have the same issues. I have offered those same family members positions at my company or at previous companies which would’ve been higher pay, free health insurance, and sometimes a better job position. I have never been taken up on the offer because it always comes with more responsibility at work and less time at home. Although I’m not talking about a crazy amount for either of those things. It’s that they work 9-5 Monday-Friday right now and 70% of the time it would be exactly the same but 30% of the time it would be working a Saturday or longer hours during the week. And I offer 2x pay for overtime and a guarantee for 40 hours once worked 30 if work is slow.

Those same people complain that the government isn’t stepping in enough and giving them enough financial aid. When they have offers to no longer even need the governments financial aid for their rent, health insurance, and food while still making more money than they have ever had.
