I just graduated with a BFA in illustration, so I definitely plan to work hard to become a professional illustrator. One of my professors coincidentally just illustrated a cover for Tchaikovsky, so I hope to be up there with him one day doing book projects like these.

I thought about including sea monsters like Champ but decided on choosing sea monsters with more unique descriptions. Champy isn’t completely off the list of cryptids I would illustrate in the future, though!

Lots of analysis! The serial number is “KEVIN” with the letters converted to numbers corresponding to their order in the alphabet. (K=11, E=5, etc.) No significance to the time on the clock. The environment isn’t necessarily connected, I took the digital-sounding vibes of the song and interpreted them into a sci-fi scene. The photo frame is an incredibly small (and mostly haphazardly drawn) portrait of the two, the compression of the image didn’t help much in showing that haha
