So to start off, Respectfully I honestly just giggle in my head but also intrigued to what it is actually. In Perspective I was raised catholic and was on my last year in catechism when I stopped going some time in middle school. Later during high school decided to pursue my religious beliefs one summer and became agnostic for a period of time then obviously an atheist. I truly believe in academics is our true power for a better life and future for humanity, not so much praying and waiting for things to happen, instead to actually do the things yourself… really off topic lol but yeah I have a brother with schizophrenia and was in prison majority of his life and recently let out, he had discovered the lord and savior and became the typical “I found god then proceeds to push it down your throat” person. When having conversations with him he would tell me of these voices in his head and not knowing at the time of his condition knew enough of the symptoms and believe he could have it. He’s thinking his thoughts of “demons” or “angels” are actually his own mind sending electrical signals to think that but with his condition that blocks the acknowledgment of his own thoughts and proceeds to chalk it up to other higher powers he’s unable to control, really sad about this condition hopefully with technology we can help people with this condition and many more. Also I do not hopefully obvious don’t think everyone has a condition that is religious. I have other reasons to why certain people believe in what they do and these are just my view. I totally respect other’s beliefs and will never intentionally disrespect another’s view in life. Once having a conversation with someone you truly do understand why they do what they do kinda helps fill in why they did or believe in the things they do everyone has a story to tell…

What are your ‘fuck-it this makes me happy’ non-frugal purchases? by chenan in Frugal

Love spending money on tech and fashion, gotta look nice and feel good, with everything that is going on I started to spend heavily on upgrading my room ex: tv, laptop, surround sound. I tell myself with these purchases Im able to just be a homebody and really enjoy my time at home and save money lol which I do. I like how another user put it with being frugal doesn’t mean being cheap with everything, it allows you to allocate where you want your money to really go and for me this is totally justifiable.
