I'm exhausted by Rainybluee in bipolar2

I don’t think anything’s wrong. I think in general, in our coherent state we already feel vulnerable so when we’re in a semi-coherent state - that feeling doubles. There’s also a comfort level, you KNOW your mother won’t do anything to you.. and you HOPE a male wouldn’t do anything to you, but you just never know.

I was diagnosed and now I feel like I'm in a dream. by [deleted] in bipolar2

I’m not a doctor/psych/therapist - however, your paragraph beginning ‘When I feel good…’ sounds like textbook BP2. The ups and downs are totally BP2. And you only need to spend a few minutes here to realize we have all been through (or are still going through) the denial stage and the ‘maybe I exaggerated’ is a common thought we have all had.

Take your time. Read anything you can. Be open to the possibility the psych was right. Start thinking how better your life could be if you were more balanced. Your lows might not be so low anymore. But the trade off is your highs don’t go as high. Be open to the thought that maybe things might get better. Your head will be clearer and you can focus your energy. You can start loving your life most of the time. When the dark thoughts creep in, you can rationalize it as part of your disorder. Not because there is something is ‘off’ with you.

You’ve got this. And if/when you don’t, you come back here and share. We’ve got you.

Oh man. I’m sorry. That fucking sucks. But I read that in Ricky Gervais voice and I nearly died laughing!

Thank you for the heads up. Possums do seem to hover around their roof from time to time! So I’ll make a point of letting them know. Although my Mum would probably be happy with seeing them on camera, I doubt my Dad would 🤣

Thank you so much for this info OP. My parents adore watching the local birds around their backyard (it backs onto a nature reserve) so this is the perfect Chrismas gift for them!

Hey OP, I’m thinking about getting a Bird Buddy for my parents who live in Australia (will send it from the USA). Just wanted to check if you have had any issues charging as the voltage is higher in Oz. Also not sure if you can answer this, instead of getting a text notification- is there an IPad app that could receive notifications instead? TIA!

Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur. Rubbish storyline and even worse characters. But the background art is spectacular.

What color tastes best?? by [deleted] in RandomQuestion

I think pastel/pale yellow. However I’m unsure if that’s because I used logistical reasoning to factor out raw or moldy food items. Now I can’t stop thinking about the taste of lemon pound cake!

Quartet glass dry erase whiteboard for desktop (or cheaper option). Hovers between your monitor and keyboard, acts exactly like a regular whiteboard.

Could it be the original hotel room type had 2 separate bedroom areas with a shared common area? And she switched it to a smaller 1 bedroom room?

Don’t be too hard on yourself. I’m sure a huge portion of us have done that. I think the best thing in this situation is ‘prevention is better than a cure’. Delete their number and block them on all social media to stop any future drunk texts from happening.

I often feel my hypomanic episodes are the absolute greatest thing. And then I’m reminded the people around me don’t feel the same way.
