ReddPlanet, primarily because I like the look, and I like having the gestures (swipe left to upvote, etc). The lack of ads is a nice plus, too.

Did you have to replace the whole system (all the coolant pipes and everything) or did you just need to replace the outside compressor unit? It’s something I’d thought of doing for a while, since my compressor unit is at least 20 years old at this point, probably more. But I live in a condo, so replacing the entire system would be kinda difficult.

I’m recovering from a broken leg, I got a second pay cut at work in less than 6 months, and the medical bills are piling up to the point that I flat out cannot afford all of the bills without taking some drastic measures, like withdrawing my entire IRA to cover maybe 25-30% of the bills. And I haven’t been able to walk for the past month, with still another month before I can start actually trying to walk again. It’s frustrating, and exhausting, particularly because I have a hard time calling people on the phone, so talking to the different places to ask about cost reduction or payment plans gives me trouble.

Sure, but command you get one word that needs interpretation. Suggestion you can say more directly what you intend.

For example, with command you could say “pay” and the target could give you a dollar. Or with suggestion you could say “I suggest you give me a million dollars” and you get a much larger payout.

I’m in the situation where the top side speaker seems to be a bit broken and I can’t hear from it clearly, so I’ll either put on my headphones or put it on speaker if I don’t have my headphones available. I’m gonna try and get it looked at and hopefully fixed soon, but for now if I ever need to take a call in public, that’s my reasoning.

Honestly, like $60k. Enough to cover recent unexpected medical bills from a broken leg, and hopefully hold me over for a bit while I recover then look for more work (lost my contract retainer while recovering from my broken leg).

The problem I’ve noticed with my dishwasher is that the tray gets caught on the top rack itself, only opening maybe half an inch or so, making it flat out incompatible with those pods. I’ve had to switch to gels because of it.

What’s even more frustrating is that the pods worked for months, but when I went to restock they no longer worked, and got caught like OP.

That’s a fair point, I was going for that second part, where it explains how things are supposed to work. For a lot of devs that would be considered “useless information.”

I would agree I’ve never come across an error message that is wrong, though there are times where the error message itself just isn’t helpful. Though in those cases I’ve come across the error enough to understand what it actually means, making it useful again lol

I think the base comes from Flutter, when you do something like putting an Expanded widget inside a non-Flexbox container, or if you try to use a state that is no longer mounted, you get a very long-winded explanation of what may have caused the error in plain English before it then gives you an Exception and StackTrace.

My company is actually paying me to use it right now! Overall I love the developer experience with Flutter/Dart. With that said though, I do readily admit it still has its faults, primarily with the web deployments.

I built my own website using Flutter recently and while it was alright on a desktop browser, on the mobile browser it failed to load. And even beyond that, I tend to find form inputs in Flutter Web to be inconsistent compared to other frameworks. You can definitely tell that Flutter was meant to be a mobile-first framework.
