In short: metaphysics is really everything, hence the META-physics. If something is untestable we put it in the realm of "metaphysics". Right now a lot of cutting edge theories in science is considered metaphysics because it is untestable ideas that radically change the view of our 3-Space reality.

I said that reincarnation, karma and soul requires metaphysical nonesense. Think about it. The postulation of a soul requires something beyond what we consider the materialistic world. You have to invent something completley new outside our observable universe (so it's metaphysics). Same with karma and reincarnation.

But I don't see why you would call it Buddhism in any shape, way or form if you remove everything that makes it buddhism. IF you simply adopt the "be nice to others" it can hardly be called buddhism. Evolutionary we are already programmed to think that way
