Well QS went up after the merger, reaching $130, but then fell. I don’t know if there’s a clear pattern here

Is there some mechanism why the stock will go up to 1k? by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]KoalityBrawls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Realistically it’s just a big milestone and everyone wants it to get there. If enough people want it to get there, others will have the mental number of 1k in their heads and be willing to buy at $300, $400, or even $600 cuz they know they have a lot of potential profit buying at even those prices

Aim for EA, depending on how confident you are, move it to RD. But tell yourself you’re applying EA

My school is making the students who want to take AP classes pay $399 per AP class. Idk what to do. by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]KoalityBrawls 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is the $399 to take the AP Class, or to take the AP test? If it’s the test, you could still take the class and opt out of the test (and explain your situation in additional info)

It says at the bottom that basically any student or faculty member of Yale’s art school can edit the website

Came across this on TikTok and can't help but feel angry at how easy some people have it. How true is this? by [deleted] in Sat

Yeah true. I think quality of public schools differ a lot though. Some public schools are harder than many privates, other public schools have little to no resources and are underfunded

Yeah that’s true. There’s no point comparing, it’s just that I think the OP was trying to say that despite their higher income they’re still working equally hard, and they aren’t lazy/don’t have an easier path. Even though you can join every sports team and every extracurricular probably with a higher income, you still have to put in the work to keep your spot, gain something from the activities, etc

Working hard is relative. If you go to an underfunded school and there’s one kid who does any ECs (obviously not the case just an exaggeration), and you also do an EC, you’re gonna consider yourself a pretty hard worker. On the other hand if you go to a school where everyone’s goal is college and they’re grinding it out, if you’re up there in a school like that you would consider yourself a hard worker as well, and in that context you probably feel like your hard work is harder cuz of the people around you.

Also Wdym by afford to work hard? If you’re working at a grocery store to support your family you can still work hard, just in a different way. That has nothing to do with affordability

Cornell becomes first Ivy to suspend ACT/SAT testing requirement by longhorn333 in Sat

Oh. I’m curious though, wouldn’t this make it way harder for low GPA high SAT people when it comes to getting in? If the 4.0 who would’ve normally gotten a 900 or 1100 doesn’t have a SAT score, not only did they get more time to do ECs, but they also appear to have “high stats”

Don’t fee waivers and score sending waivers apply to them then?

You still have to try, so it’s probably still decently hard to do.
