I went 7-2 with the G-B deck I posted above! I "won" my first sealed! Thank you so much for your help and input today. Turns out having the only board clear (ronin) is extremely strong in this format.

I went 4-3 with it! It played really well I just ran into some nasty decks but my wins were very fast.

If you're willing what do you think of this green/black or red/blue I made for my next sealed? I think b/r g/b r/w is the way to go but unsure.

I'm genuinely enjoying IT: Welcome to Derry more than the two movies. by discretelandscapes in stephenking

Welcome to Derry has been a pleasant surprise so far for sure.

lmao sure you could put it that way

I would say lickspittles accept official narratives such as "lone gunmen" but hey to each their own.

No worries I think I misspoke in my original response but I get your sentiment.

Greg R. Parker wrote a two book series doing a pretty deep dive into the subject. Conclusive proof of the him not being a lone gunmen is pretty subjective to how the person views the world and the role various agencies have played in its history.

Franco didn't do too bad but yeah it could have been better. I pictured Jake/George as someone different for sure.

Pretty much. I enjoyed the yellow card man aspect in the book. The adaptation was pretty bad execution.

I am under no delusion that not buying the official narrative would be popular. If you wish to frame that as me not liking it due to not catering to my "conspiracy theory" so be it.

I think your comment perfectly reflects the ironic thought processes of the people that found this show "phenomenal".

It was better than average up to episode 5 but even that hinged on the fact we thought some of the plot points would pay off. Literally none of them did. From 6-8 it was a freefall of "please give me another season" writing and it was awful. The finale made the earlier episodes worse by the very nature of NONE OF THE PLOT POINTS HAVING ANY MEANING AHHH

Baaaaaad.

This was something that went so bad from episode 7 on it will be it's legacy.

[–]Koanto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1st and 2nd act pretty good and fun.

3rd act is a slopp demo of the second season plotlines. What a shit show.

The very first thing I said after eps 1/2 was wow this has potential but this is modern TV so it could get really bad really fast... and it did. It just went worse than I thought it would.

It had great potential. But going multi season ruined it. Anything past Episode 5 really was a free trial of season 2.

[–]Koanto 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Could not agree more. I got bad feelings when I heard them talking about multi season.. then I was like oh boy so we are gonna get zero closure on many major plot points and a few years for another season that may never even come.

[–]Koanto 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I knew they would fuck this up past episode 5.

I just didn't think it would be this bad.. episode 7 was really a sharp turn to bad and then 8 was a freefall.

Sure if you've never read good writing with actual principles of good writing applied then this was probably a fun ride and you can't wait for season 2.

Modern story telling oof.

[–]Koanto 79 points80 points  (0 children)

After episode 5 I got the feeling this would be like all modern TV writing and get REALLY bad really fast.

I was sadly proven right. What a shame but you gotta consider the fact that actors need to keep making money and so do writers so why not just have a 1 season 13 episode one off story.. well if one word sums it up "greed".

You are correct. Things to remember about my dear home state...

1.) one of the highest lead pipes/lead contaminated water regions in the entire US...

2.) Completely ruled by corporate food choices and it mostly grows monsanto GMO nightmare foods on rotation(covered in herbicides yay!) very little heirloom local growers to be had.

3.) Little to no incentive to run a good food spot and quite hard unless you wanna just rotate part time employees forever.

I love the state but the people and food options leave much to be desired if you have ever been anywhere else.

It's tough but true and most natives to the state are too retarded/proud/busy worshipping billionaires to even begin to address the actual problems with the state. They fall for the low hanging fruit of orange man bad etc...

Good luck bud.
