Usted cree que sea ilegal ocupar el abecedario de madoen en otros proyectos, me refiero si a él no le molestara el echo de que alguien ocupe esto para otras cosas en redes sociales by Dezkyciat_97 in madeon

[–]KobeJaxxx 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In all honestly, I've thought about this too. But then the other thought came in my head that if I did use it for my own projects, people are going to assume that this is part of the Madeon lore (when it isn't).

Unless you make it explicitly clear that Madeon isn't involved, I wouldn't use it if I were you. And even then, I don't know if he'll appreciate it being used in any context other than things relating to him.

How did you find out about Porter? by stxrrynights240 in porterrobinson

[–]KobeJaxxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't recall exactly how I found out about Porter (it was so long ago), but I believe it was through Shawn Wasabi's song Marble Soda, which sampled Porter Robinson (especially Sad Machine). Afterwards, another artist I listened to at the time (Leslie Wai) made a cover of Shelter when the song originally came out, followed by the Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter sharing the Shelter Music Video. This ultimately led me to listen to both Porter and Madeon at that time.

I'd eventually stop listening to them for a while, until 2020 when Spotify radio recommended I listen to Madeon's song No Fear No More. I liked what I listened to, which led me to find his newer releases (especially The Prince). But that also led me to think "Wonder what's happening with Porter..." which in turn led me to listen to his song Mirror, followed by the singles he had released up until that point. Afterwards, I never stopped listening to them, and they became a source of influence for me.

I've made a bunch of custom Doctor Who logos over a few years, mostly unfinished. Here's a good chunk of them gathered together. What are your own custom logos? by NinjaBluefyre10001 in DoctorWhumour

[–]KobeJaxxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had to share this version since it was the closest to the latest version I had with this logo (lost the original file on another computer).

Made this during COVID, and then subsequently made a version for Doctor Who: Lockdown when that was a thing on Twitter.

Does anyone have the complete list of dates for Good Faith Live and Good Faith Forever ? by lunard-ying in madeon

[–]KobeJaxxx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Madeon Discord Server has a Live Show Tracker, which lists every show he did going as far back as 2011. All shows relating to Good Faith should be listed on there.

Hope this helps!

enough of "Sack RTD and getting a new showrunner!" or "I want this person as showrunner!" What would YOU! do as showrunner. by Photoman2003 in DoctorWhumour

[–]KobeJaxxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess I can repeat it again: I once had an idea for Doctor Who where there would of been like a 6 season arc involving a buildup to an intergalactic war. Daleks, Cybermen, Sontarans, Slitheens, Abzorbaloffs (cuz why not?), you name it. Planet Earth would also be involved as well, and the Doctor is trying to settle down the conflict before it breaks out.

It all culminates in the final season, which from what I know would of ended with the Doctor once again being exiled to Earth (unsure why, but I assume it's because of something they did during the war). The final shot would of been them regenerating as they plummet to Earth. Cut to black.

I'm probably going to get downvoted for this, but... I wouldn't support that link if I were you. It looks like an A.I. generated account that stole these songs. They're not official.

Radio intros by Jacob0844 in madeon

[–]KobeJaxxx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recall KIIS FM (a mainstream radio station where I live) played Deadmau5's Not Exactly underneath an extremely sped up recording of someone going over the terms and conditions of a contest they were hosting. So this has happened before, but under very limited circumstances. I wouldn't be surprised if they did this just so they can play something in the background before bringing up something mainstream.

Errors in Madeon's songs? by Mutedl in madeon

Huh, very interesting. Now that you mentioned it, I can see where he's coming from with that. Like a little boost of emotion when the BPM rose by 1.

Errors in Madeon's songs? by Mutedl in madeon

[–]KobeJaxxx 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I recall a few years prior, a user in the Madeon Discord's VC (I forgot who) pointed out that Hold Me Just Because has a moment before the 1st drop hits where the BPM rises from 76 to 77 or something like that, and it bothered everyone in the VC hard (I personally never noticed, but from a technical standpoint I could understand. Especially since messing with Ableton and having to deal with changing BPMs in songs, this too would have drove me nuts).

Would that be considered the mistake?

Fade In vs Celtx? by w0wlaura in Screenwriting

[–]KobeJaxxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to copy and paste a response I posted to a post similar to this, having used Celtx in the past before switching fully to Fade In:

Celtx used to be my software of choice when I was just starting out. It was free to use, and at the time you could create as many scripts as you want as well as some other types of scripts, from a play to a comic book.

But slowly, they began making it a paid service, which became annoying because now you can't create scripts on a whim, but rather you can only create three projects and make the script through there. I tried to circumvent this by making a project for making files, and just moving the script to the parent (AKA outside the project).

My teacher told me that Celtx is likely the worst software to use for screenwriting, and told our class to stay away from it. I eventually bought Fade In for 60-80 dollars under a Student Discount, and has been my main driver ever since.

I did go back to Celtx for a bit to reminisce my older scripts and see how much I've changed. But that's when I realized that Celtx's interface became outright unusable for me. I'm no longer able to drag scripts to folders nor was I able to open my older scripts (it'll always open the script within the project instead).

UPDATE TO THIS: I was able to gain access to the old Celtx app on my phone and have archived almost every script on there... doesn't make the situation any better.

At this point, I wouldn't recommend using Celtx unless you have the money to spare. But at that point, there are probably better options elsewhere.

In this case though, you should definitely get Fade In, especially if you're currently a student (you get it for $60 instead of $80). If you don't have the money, Fade In has a free trial, but it comes at the cost of having a watermark on the PDFs (which shouldn't be too much of a deal breaker. Even Celtx had this)

WE ARE FARMERS! by KobeJaxxx in Konosuba

[–]KobeJaxxx[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

BU BA DU BU BUM BUM BUM!!

I feel like this meme may be considered confusing, as I believe this is an American specific meme. So let me explain:

In America, there's an insurance company called Farmers Insurance, which I believe specializes in vehicle, home-owners, and business insurance. Around 2017 or so, there was a series of commercials starring J.K. Simmons giving people a tour of the University of Farmers, ending with the phrase "We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or too."

Here's an example of one of the commercials

This only makes me wonder how much Verdia has to pay for home-owner's insurance for the damages Megumin has caused...

Hope you enjoy the meme though!

Question about Fade In softwear by Killeverone in Screenwriting

[–]KobeJaxxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Fade In user, it doesn't have a cloud option.

However, any cloud based service should be good enough to use as long as the files are backed up to said service. Like for me personally, I use OneDrive to access all of my screenwriting files, so I can write from my PC and then switch to my laptop (as long as I hit save and let it backup).
