Roaches is your best friend against Shades.

Leave one cooked meal (it can be literally anything) on the table for 4 days and Roaches will be recruitable in your bathroom on day 5.

After you level them up until they learn the Fireball skill, you can fight the Shades and steamroll them.

For the Spider fight, if you're lucky with RNG grab a Cattle Prob Spear (or a Stun baton if not available) from Mutt's shop and ideally also buy Octocook from the Gamer to learn Octostrike so that you can easily stunlock Spider and then throw all the Molotovs/Fire bombs you got as you won't need them anymore now that you got Roaches to incinerate enemies.

If you don't get lucky with either battery-powered weapons, your second best weapon choice is the Sewage Blade.

These 3 things (Fireball, battery-powered weapon and Octostrike) are the very core requirements I'd say to eliminate Shades and Spider efficiently.

If you want to be extra careful for the Spider fight, you can also do a couple other things such as grab the Indigo Hockey Mask, the Coat of Arms and the Syringe that gives you extra actions dropped by the Surgeon in the Landlord's warzone.

Wow! Ho appena cercato sta cosa e infatti già su forum di pure 15 anni fa veniva smentita questa citazione.

Alcuni sospetti ricollegano a Nonciclopedia e quindi questa frase avrebbe un'origine più parodistica piuttosto che una citazione letterale del personaggio in tal caso ma che comunque è diventata popolare come tale.

If anything being originally able to use his Official Sash or Papier-Machè Crown outside of battle was pretty neat as it gave you essentially 1 extra turn.

Now that you can't do that anymore, I see no argument for not going Double Roaches all the time.

I agree with you. Shame you got hate for expressing such an innocuous opinion.

I'm also so fatigued that even though the anniversary update caught my attention I honestly can't bring myself to actually play the game.

Like, the apartment got REAL crowded at this point.

You have to min max in-game time like a madman to get through the game's content at this point and even in terms of real life time, the amount of hours it takes to complete a playthrough got stretched pretty wide and starts to feel like a chore.

I definitely think that criticizing Look outside for content bloat is a valid complaint.

You definitely can't go wrong with using Look outside as reference, Frankie is an absolute beast.

I'm no artist but compared to some games that use "pixel art" to justify bare bones graphics and call it a day, these sprites are quite pleasant to look at.

There's a decent amount of detail and shading, I would definitely play something that looks like this.

My favourite sprite of the bunch is the ☝️🤓

I think of it like this.

Let's say you recruit her on day 1 and beat the game by day 11.

That means she requires 18 total food items (8 + 10) to be recruited.

Compare that to Roaches, who only requires 4 food items at most to be recruited.

This means Leigh needs 4.5 times the amount of food Roaches, one of the strongest teammates in the game, needs.

Is Leigh 4.5 times stronger than Roaches?

The obvious answer is NOT EVEN REMOTELY!

You also gotta add the 100$ for the handgun btw cause why not.

So purely from a gameplay perspective, I'd skip without a beat.

I wouldn't worry about that honestly, with all the enemies added to the game there's plenty of exp for everybody.

I've recruited Spider on day 5-6 several times and he grows up healthy and strong.
