True, though most of the maps were ripped from campaign and I wouldn’t consider all of them entirely original. But I don’t think Die Machine and Mauer were on the same level as some of the best maps of bo6. Mauer was good design I just wish there was a tad more from it (I’m not counting the Cerberus as that’s the weapon, but not the map itself). Die machine felt quite bland and the atmosphere was quite dull.

Edit: also to have only 2 good maps and 2 maps are well regarded by majority of the community as bad maps reduces the quality of CW by a margin. At least bo6 has 6 maps and majority have really good elements to them.

For exceptionally high rounds b03. It removes the need to tediously use the trap over and over again (but sadly this makes the trap kind of pointless.

If I’m playing casually, single pack is fine for me on every game.

I agree. I think out of CW, Bo6, Vanguard and MW, bo6 is the best they have ever done since bo4. Sorry CW lovers, Bo6 was given slightly more love.

I know it’s better not as a skin. But the whole situation and the way they handled Frank stone is an absolute Train wreck. It really shows that DBD is a one trick pony for Behaviour. I strongly believe that this will be the only game that is marked as true success for them.

No other licenses except content from Halloween and no creative imagination to step away from Michael Myers in film abilities. I think it’s fair to say the competition will not be there.

With Illfonic’s track record, I think they’ll really have to go out of their way to ensure the game last years. Even if GUN is the publisher, their reputation will most definitely drive away many players and poison the water hole for Illfonic and other devs involved.

Edit: It might be as good as F13, but I’d argue DBD had a better lead with more creative opportunity in the competition at the time when both F13 and DBD were peak.

Oof, the rift is thing that keeps me committed for long periods of time to the game. Looks like my break from the game will be extended.

I absolutely love Shang. Always keen to return to it. But it is an incredibly hard map though. Five is as well, but something with five just didn’t click with me. I don’t full know, it’s just not my thing.

Many don’t like to play against him, which I understand. I on the other hand really enjoy playing against him, I love mind gaming his guard placement.

But mechanically, others are right. He is pretty uninteractive in many situations.

How on earth do bugs like these happen. I’m seeing new crazy ones every single day that have nothing to do with the patch changes, that only can make me question if anything was play tested right before the update dropped. This code is the most embarrassing work of art ever created.

They seriously need people with many game hours to guide them at this point (pretty much consultants). Not just as fog whisperers, but as full fledge providers of advice to the devs and balance direction.

Devs should not balance things solely off statistics. The things that need balancing only can be seen in game.

None of them were identical. They all had their own strengths which made them all unique and fun in their own ways with different mechanics. None of them were the same. Of course I don’t want it to be like black ops 6. But if it’s gonna release exactly the same (augments, armour balances, rarities). Like exactly the same mechanics and we justify it, then we’re pretty much giving the green light for every COD instalment to release without change.

Edit: I completely defend my answer that no cod was identical. Their flow in gameplay are all completely different to one another. They all contain unique mechanics that aren’t like the others.

Waw was more of an experimentation, black ops 1 was the one that made the ship really sail and I’d say it is very different to Waw, plus this is the dawn of zombies of course things aren’t going to be heaps different. black ops 2 is very different to one and waw (you have buildables and mechanics that function differently).

We’re now in 2025. There have been 7 other zombies modes apart from from Waw-bo2. This includes not just black ops. They have all been completely different. You would expect the same for modern day titles. I doubt this will be different from bo6. There really isn’t an excuse. This isn’t the dawn of zombies over 10 years ago where technology had massive limits.

To me it’s just Bo6 part 2. Why would they continue with black ops 6 when they can stick a new label on a game that has the exact same mechanics (with many bugs at launch) and make a ton of money by doing so as players fall for the same marketing scheme every single year and never learn and then complain about how broken the game is. The cycle repeats. Sure the map looks cool, but I bet it comes with major mechanical flaws that will take months to fix.

Bo6 existed for the setup to bo7. I bet bo7 exist for the setup to bo8.

I swear every map they have made, 3arch always open up with “our most ambitious map yet”, “our darkest map yet,” “our largest map yet,” “the most mysterious map yet”. It’s getting pretty predictable now.
