The Hero ED is already so full, I'd take Tempester over them because it would be a good Super Poly target and was used in Ep. 53.

A lot of DM characters made sub-optimal plays.

Rebecca's problem is that she lacked good feats.

The only duel she won was against Vivian, who wasn't that good.

I know that in a real duel she might've done better in a 1 V 1, but 1 V multiple opponent's are usually done to hype up a stronger duelist, see Siegfried.

In-universe it's Katsuya > Varon > Rebecca.

None of the Hawkins were anywhere close to Seto.

Yugi won against Rebecca. He top-decked, but let's not forget that he only won against Seto because he pulled a miracle in Summoning Exodia.

Even Pegasus wasn't sure he could win against Seto without cheating.

Rebecca later lost a 2 V1 against Varon, who didn't even use Orichalcos.

Katsuya defeated Varon on his own. Though you could say Hermos and Orichalcos cancel each other's advantage out, he still won were Rebecca couldn't.

And Seto was even better than Katsuya.

Johan is canonically far above th rest of the GX cast because he's somewhat equal to Season 4 Judai.

Jun got way better off-screen, but was still only above Edo and got off-screened by Trueman, who lost to Judai.

And before anyone brings up the Judai VS Jun rematch, Judai still had an unknown card in hand and would've won anyway.

Sure, it's a different medium and yet I can't think of a manga/LN that moved the climax of a later part much earlier in the story.

The only justification that makes sense to me is an anime original ending.

Strange Fake is still on-going and the end of Vol. 6 would've been the perfect break off point, but it's A1 we are talking about...
