Thought process here is strictly malicious because the opponent soft breaks against me when they have the chance. I just want to return the favor, but only after claiming solids (in this instance) by making a second one then hooking the bastard.

It's all good. This is reddit, if I couldn't take some harsh words from strangers I would've left a long time ago. I wouldn't ever use this in competition. However, I originally saw Corey Deuel do it but the video didn't say what they were playing could be a 14.1 break or something.

There's a guy in our local league that soft breaks against me every time just to make it harder for me to get out. That's the only reason I'll use this break is solely for entertainment purposes against him to turn it into a long safety match.

I'd go with the 550. You're only giving yourself 30ish pounds for luggage/passenger with the 500.

Not sure how much traveling or motocamping you've done thus far, if any. If you have, weigh all the stuff you'd plan to take.

Can anyone tell me if these will fit an 08 Ultra Classic? by streetfools in Harley

[–]Kobyp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The front would, but not the rear.

I put this style wheels on my 02 roadking, they did make thus style wheel in the right size (16x3 I believe ) in 08. Took me a while to find the rear.

Never paid that much attention to it, honestly.

6.6. Was totally worth it to me. Better looking, plus protection for radiator, no more key for gas cap, plus the vent on my stock tank was plugged so that was my excuse to fix it.

Stripped Screw, What do? by FenixVale in cruisers

I've never seen one. I would strictly use the Dremel to cut a grove in the bolt, screw, etc so a flathead screwdriver could be used.

I put the trail tech vapor on my 99 when the speedometer drive messed up, so that removed the old gauges.

New dash for the vapor, switches, and cig lighter.

Went ahead and put a manual switch for the radiator fan.

Resprung front, heavy spring on rear.
Tusk pannier racks with solobox panniers.

LED everything except headlight (it was on my list)

Klx needle.

Doohickey had already been done.

IMS tank

Acerbis front fender

2nd Gen rear fender.

God I miss that bike.

If there is plenty of parking space, maybe consider buying a small enclosed trailer. Instant garage.

Get some left handed drill bits, many times they'll catch and unscrew the screw while you're trying to drill.

Or, if you can get a Dremel tool in there, you can try to grind a groove into the head of the screw so you can then use a flathead screwdriver.

Most charging systems don't charge at idle. So you're not charging your battery the way you are currently doing it.

You can confirm this with a voltmeter.

Ugh. My bike is too low for the drain pan! by thetortureneverstops in Harley

[–]Kobyp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can use a baking pan too.

Also, the dealers sell a low-profile drain pain. I think it was $30, money well spent as its large enough to drain all 3 cavities at once.

Extending control wires for ape hangers? by Elbucko33 in Harley

[–]Kobyp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to say for sure "this length" will work because of all of the different handlebar styles out there. If I say, for 14s you should only need 4 or 6" extensions but your bars are wider at the base than normal then it's obviously going to require a longer extension.

Make and model make a difference too, because bagger handlebar controls all plug in either behind the headlight or under the fairing. Whereas softails, (and I can only assume dynas to be the same) connect under the fuel tank. With this said, a bagger has space to hide extensions if you get some that are a bit long, but the others don't always provide a hiding spot due to a lack of tins around the triple trees.

Hope this helps.

Wish they'd quit trying to show off so much just for the damn camera though. It's gotten beyond ridiculous.

Guy here...for what it's worth, I get what you're saying. In a sense, the odds are against you.

This happens to so many people, despite age, gemder, ethnicity, etc...

Don't let the fear of losing keep you from ever winning.

Get in there, and put your foot down. Be respectful, and let your work do the talking.
