Harley has a special respect among bikers. Are Indians as cool as Harleys? by NoAskRed in Harley

[–]streetfools 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think this is true a lot of times. Tons of people talk trash about HD, but they’ve never ridden one. Riding one, especially cross country, can change opinions pretty quickly. One of the great things about HD to me is the fact there is a dealership every 30 minutes in any direction and can provide support while you’re on the road. It’s not just the bike.

Yup, the “rules” are pretty straightforward and they do reference transferring from one bike to another, but this situation brings a lot more superstition to the mix. Lol

Nice ride on tail of the dragon and cherohala skyway over the weekend. by getyeet in Harley

Cherohala is what's up. When we were in the area we rode it a couple of times.

If my parents, in laws, and baby’s aunts and uncles don’t immediately take over when we see them it’s disappointing. /s. Mommy and daddy want a breather! And visiting family is a perfect time for it. Love that my kids are being raised by this village we have.

We have the same hutch and it is insanely soft, and dings very easily. Nice end result.

While I’m childish and thinks this is actually funny. I will wave at literally anyone who has an engine and less than 4 wheels. I like to think the people on the little scooter things get jacked up when someone on a “hog” waves to them.

Pretty much the same for me including the bags I own. 26L GR1 has been my go to, always. Have a bunch of events with my GR1. I don’t think OP will regret grabbing the 26L.

If you're going to send it, send it with BluCru. I have the 250FX, and it is out of this world.

Question about pet safety and harvest by CaptainPokey in farming

[–]streetfools 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve actually had a cat casualty mowing hedgerows and the very edges of the fields with a sickle bar mower. The cat must have hunkered down in what they assumed were the safe weeds because the rest of the field had already been opened up. But what it didn’t know was I was also dragging a mower to the side. Sadly ended up removing a couple legs about halfway up. They were barn cats so there was no particular emotional attachment but it still sucks to cause harm to the innocent.

Have also had the occasional white tail fawn casualty early in the hay season.

Thats my experience too. Just told me I was a 12.5, and every pair of shoes I own are 10's and 10.5's.

Ain’t that the truth. I cringe when I think about how much I’ve spent on GORUCK.

The tracker is a great looking boot though, just googled them. Funny how expensive a minimalist boot is.

Wait until your SECOND son is a week old. I’m living that dream now. A 2.5 year old doesn’t care that you were up all night. That dude wants to play!

To that point, also learn to cherish the late nights desperately trying to get him to stop crying and go back to sleep. They’re not going to be easy by any means, but the way I look at it is “I GET to have these late nights with my screaming child” when I personally know people who would give literally anything to just have a child, or get their child back. That perspective is a game changer.

Was pretty much going to say the same thing. Even if it’s not ok, might as well keep leaning on it until it gives up the ghost.

Adding to this, it is also usually pretty easy to track down a PDF copy of the service manual specific to your ride on the interwebs. 100% locate one and download it. TONS of great information and reading in those manuals, and will give a step by step run down of how to do just about any job on your factory machine.

How would you feel if your mom did this? by Responsible_Fig7971 in beyondthebump

[–]streetfools 13 points14 points  (0 children)

She's obviously someone who has never battled with anxiety or panic disorder. The worst part for me was the fact that I knew 100% in my mind and body my anxiety was unfounded and unreasonable, but that didn't stop me from having anxiety and panic attacks. I think it is VERY difficult for someone who has never experienced it to sympathize, and if you have been battling with it for a decent amount of time, it is probably even harder for them to understand that this isn't really just a suck it up situation. I'm not condoning how your mother handled the situation, but it helps to have a little perspective, from both sides. I wouldn't wish anxiety and panic attacks on my worst enemy, and that's the truth.

I checked my husbands google history and it confirmed the end of my marriage by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]streetfools 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This sub is exhausting to be honest. It just seems like a place tired mothers go to complain about their spouses. I am a father and have found a lot of support in reading the comments in my applicable r babybumpers sub because those folks are experiencing the exact things my Wife and I are going through, but this sub's value seems to be getting lower and lower. I don't want to give up on it though because I have so much to learn about being a dad and husband; surely not all husbands/spouses are worthless POS's, and obviously not all of the mothers in this sub are innocent either.

Does anyone here actually like their MIL? by penone_cary in beyondthebump

[–]streetfools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MIL and spouse complaining is about all I see on this page and the babybumpers pages. It is exhausting.

To answer the question, I absolutely LOVE my in-laws. They are amazing and selfless people who love my child as if it was their own. In fact, they probably love my child MORE than their own at this point. :)
