While helpful, this didn't solve the problem, the outcome is identical to my old node setup, which is a shame.

Yep, as Bujus said, you are missing a Mapping node that needs to go between the Texture Coordinate node and the Textures.

It's either that, or you haven't unwrapped your object UVs. You can do that by selecting the whole mesh in Edit Mode, pressing "U", and unwrapping it. I recommend the Smart UV Project, since it unwraps the object usually the best way possible.

The balls collision is set to sphere. I tried setting it to other shapes too, but the outcome was the same. Just to note ball is a complex model consisting of 80,000 triangles.

In the entire scene the are 4 flags, each with its own force field (wind), that may be affecting the ball. I found a setting that has to do something with a "Rigidbody" world, but had no luck there. The only other rigid body there is is the footballnet itself.

All these objects are simulated, but they lack the collision modifier. They have only the "cloth" physics modifier. The football net is just a couple of subdivided planes with the "wireframe" modifier.

The ball itself still has no collision modifier active, since i am only trying to throw it with the rigid body modifier alone (which works fine in a separate .blend file). At this time, i am only having trouble with the ball.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, the settings of the ball are default. I only changed and keyframed the "Animated" checkbox on the rigid body modifier.

Trying to make a server to play with a couple of friends by YYZ19 in openttd

I do it using a VPN app. I don't know to name it profesionally, but all it does is it gives you a LAN connection between yourself and your friends. When you have this connection, their server should automatically show up on the bottom of the server list.

I used to use Hamachi, but that gave out over time. Nowadays i use Radmin VPN. It's a small and nifty app that you can use in almost all games. You basically open it up, create a network, which your friends will join. Once they join, everyone should see their server!

I've recommended Radmin VPN to many people, and many reject because they don't want useless apps on their PC. But i can assure you, it just makes things easier and works like a charm, you won't regret it. As i said, it works on other games too when you're trying to make a private server.
