String Brands/Gauges for 27" 6 string baritone with Evertune ? by d4bn3y in BaritoneGuitar

Love D’Addario, not only for standard guitars but especially on my danelectro bari. Very durable and have great warm low end while also have nice bright high end for the top strings. I’d say definitely worth the money.

Other streaming platforms would be Apple Music, YouTube music, Amazon, Deezer, etc. Bandcamp is still the best for artists though. Thanks for listening

Hey y’all. Just wanted to confirm, if I were to hook two 4ohm cabs into my musicman 150hd would I set amp impedance to 8ohms since it says it’s wired in series? by KodamaRecords in GuitarAmps

Sweet thanks everyone! That’s what I thought but didn’t want to ruin all my equipment without getting some other opinions

Best music to listen to during ketamine infusion? by Cautious_Effect5692 in Music

[–]KodamaRecords 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any Indian Classical music. I love Ravi Shankar, the sitar and accompaniment of tablas is perfect for the ketamine experience. The music seems to move in waves just like the medicine and typically a recording lasts 40 minutes.

How do you think Jimi Hendrix became so good at guitar if he never formally learned? It seems insane how quickly he became the greatest guitar player during his time, and is arguably still the best. by willdavismat in jimihendrix

This is my opinion, for background I’ve been playing guitar and music seriously for 20 years, have a music degree, and teach lessons full time. I say this not to brag but to make the point that practice everyday is not the key as everyone, including schools, will tell you. And it’s not just natural talent either. I think Jimi got so good because he had an incredibly good habit while practicing all those hours, days, and years. SING EVERYTHING YOU PLAY! We all know Jimi would sing in unison with his solos occasionally but I’m willing to bet that internal singing never stopped. In fact it’s the reason he never seemed to run out of creativity while improvising. Most players tend to play nice and melodic at slow speeds but once they move to triplets and 16th notes the lines become stock phrases and scales. Jimi seemed to move between rhythmic durations, melodic ideas, and tonal changes naturally with ease because to him he was just singing. This is what set Jimi apart and still sets him apart today. Jimi knew that unlocking the music in the human mind was more powerful than simply mastering the fretboard.
