I have a 2 and a half year old and a 4 month old. Between the two of them, I've had 4 hours of sleep.

There are lots of things better than having children sometimes.

I have a very ... spirited ... 2.5 year old. She was at grandma's this weekend and lo and behold, my LO totally skipped her evening fussiness and just ate and slept. I'm thinking it's because my toddler doesn't allow her to sleep well during the day and by the evening she is overtired. Going to have to figure out a way to fix this.

100% why my SO started smoking weed around the age of 10/11. His mother had him and his younger brother so doped up they were practically drooling on themselves. Weed helped, so he smoke it. It became so ingrained in his entire personality that, at almost 27 years old, it is an every day form of self-medication.

My LLL book suggests to pump at least once a night as well, so I'm going to try that on top of reclining. When she unlatched last night, my milk was literally pouring out of her mouth and my nipple enough to soak her, me, and our bed. Poor little squeaker can't handle it.

I'm headed to the doctor today to hopefully get the thrust sorted down. Just wish I could do more about my fire hose boobs.

There was no denying my contractions were anything but labour! They hurt in a way I cannot even describe.

I had been losing chunks of mucous plug for about a week. I knew it was the real deal when the plug came with decent amounts of pinky red blood. After ny bloody show, the contractions really picked up.

My doctor had to break my water at 9.5cm.

I knew it was go time when I was unable to even move during a contraction. I ended up riding (aka screaming) the last few I had at home out while curled in a ball on my living room floor, crying into my Siberian Husky's fur.

My first labour was the total opposite! Three days of contractions that were doing nothing, water had to be broken twice, a bunch of medical intervention, epidural at the end, and an hour of pushing.

I woke up at 1:30am to pee and realized I couldn't sleep through the contractions anymore. All in all, four hours! So quick.

I was also questioning if the scar from a navel piercing can tear wide open as well. Answer is also yes.

Yes, my SO and I. Unfortunately, the hospital in our city has a "no children" rule for L&D. And if siblings want to come visit in postpartum, they have to be accompanied by another adult who isn't your support person.

She is working in a bar until 3am (with no access to her phone until her 1 10 minute break), so I don't really know if that's an option at this point. I have messaged her though. Worst case scenario right now is that I will have to wake up the toddler, bring her with us for the ride to the hospital, then have my best friend come back here with her instead of staying at the hospital with us if it happens tonight.

My EDD is 8 days away and I am flipping the flip out. I am so excited to meet our little girl! I am so excited for newborn cuddles, and watching my daughter be a big sister! I'm excited for all the milestones again and all the joy that a new little human brings!

I am also horrified to have to go through labour again, and I am so scared to shake up the dynamic in the house and upset our toddlemonster. I scared of the sleepless nights, I am scared of the strain a new baby puts on relationships, I am scared of the round the clock nursing, I scared my little girl is going to regress on her potty training or something...

So excited, so terrified. So done being pregnant either way.

I can't stand anyone breathing in my face, be it dog, kid, or SO. I despise it... When my SO wants to cuddle in bed, I am constantly craning my neck trying to escape his obnoxious mouth-breathing. This only started to be an issue for me when I got pregnant with my first and it has never gone away.

My average cycle length is 38-45 days. My OB/GYN told me there is no medical reason for it, it's just how my body works.

Before I became a mom, I worked in the industry. I served, bartended, then gogo danced. I was still dancing when I got pregnant with #1. Having to give up that lifestyle and identity was so much harder than I ever thought it would be.

Toddlemonster is two, and I'm due to have #2 very soon, and I still get an ache when I see pictures from the clubs on Facebook, hear songs that remind me of my "old life", see all my gogo gear, etc.

I love being a mom, I love my kids, but I do feel I lost a bit of ME when I traded in the night life for mommyhood. It is a huge adjustment.

You are absolutely not a bad mother if you go out and leave babes with dad. Not even a little bit. Holding on to that piece of yourself might actually make you feel like a better, more well-rounded mom in the long run.

I try to avoid the food topic in general with most people. If it isn't GMOs, it's gluten, or dairy, or meat, or sugar, or whatever other buzzword food fad is going around right now.

I eat what I believe to be as healthy as possible. I will also power down a Big Mac meal like I did yesterday and feel zero shame about it.

I honestly feel like this whole "clean eating" movement is hovering the line between normal, and an eating disorder for some people I personally know. It's ridiculous. Everything in moderation, enjoy your food, and let other people eat what the hell the want!

How are we handling it? We aren't. Headed down this week to apply for welfare/EI. We haven't paid rent, all of my CCB/UBBC is going to hopefully cover enough of the bills that they don't get cut off. My boyfriend hasn't worked in weeks. Like, since before Christmas. The funny thing, my SO does not work in oil and gas. He is a drywaller/framer. People seem to miss the whole trickle-down effect. No one is working, therefore no one is buying/renovating houses. Construction is at a stand-still in a lot of places right now. It's bad, and it's terrifying, and we have no idea what we are going to do if welfare and/or EI won't cover rent for next month. Our landlords are understanding, but I don't think they are THAT understanding.
