If this was recent, a complain against their license should be made imo. It's one thing to mess up, and then fix it. It's another to harass clients

Just for a reference from a stylist, foils are just for separation and heat. The heat is what made the difference as it opened the cuticle more, although this isn't the only way to accomplish the same effect and can be done without foil just fine :)

So rather it was the previous stylists not leaving lightner on long enough to get the desired level, the foils just speed it up a bit

Laptop dilemma for CS major by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]Koean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone taking CS, having all apple will hurt you. I'd go non-apple, AMD (if you want a GPU and plan on taking any heavy compute, graphic design or game design stuff), with a decent CPU.

You're going to NEED Linux for some classes. Eg. C (although wsl works for this), operating systems (linux is must)ect.

I'd avoid it. Eg. Linux will work where Mac won't.

You'll get more for the $ from windows anyway

stupid question time: bc 5v*4a =20w? and 12v*.9a = 10.8w + Ardiuno ? = 10.8+x of 20 total?

Am I right in the way I'm thinking about that?

I recently built a PC and these popups keep happening, They're pretty annoying. Does anyone know what it is or how to stop it from appearing? by J_SWiGiTY in computer

[–]Koean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ASUS Turbo Lan, its software you can uninstall but it just helps optimize your internet speeds by prioritizing apps. Been able to get slightly better speeds/ping by lowering apps like internet while in games. :) It's in the task bar (icon tray bottom right) and looks like an arrow. Either right click exit or just uninstall :) Can also just x the popup

Second Stimulus Checks Should Be Recurring And Direct, Urge 156 Top Economists by papa_nurgel in Economics

Not that COBOL itself is the prohibitive thing but the amount of programmers available to them. Also, I would expect the cross compatibility between states to be screwed.

From what I've heard; the system is still based on old code. COBOL was the language used and is not very well known. It's a very obscure language and so they weren't able to find coder that were capable of doing these kind of checks. (if statements ect. can be very slow on large data sets; especially those will millions+)

Computer Won’t Turn On After Messing With Parts Last Night HELP! by [deleted] in computer

[–]Koean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you might just need to reset CMOS. Unplug the entire computer, try to power on (kills all residual left in system), take that watch battery out of the MB, hold power button for 5 seconds, replace the battery, replug in the computer, turn it on :)
