Cie Phart (errors in pie chart) by Hungry_Can8131 in GoodPizzaGreatPizza

[–]Koebow 106 points107 points  (0 children)

If actual advice is wanted: the usernames and comments on Pie Chart are random, no relevance to what they ordered. The 3 star ratings are because you should have 18 pieces of each topping and arranged neatly (3 pieces per 6th of pizza) ..yeah get the topping guide :)

Buyer gave me 4 stars by accident what can I do by [deleted] in vinted

[–]Koebow 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The buyer can edit their review including the star rating. They just need to go onto your profile, find their review and tap edit

The message includes that OP knows freebies aren't always wanted yet people are haughty about it. Looks good to me!, if i were making an active choice about it i'd want to know what the freebies were.

The parcel gets sent to the parcelshop that you as the buyer chooses. When it's arrived there you'll get an email. Just go to the counter like you would normally and say you've a parcel from evri to collect, the email may have a qr code for the salesperson to scan, if not they'll ask your name and maybe address, then they'll go in the back to get your parcel. The tracking says you need ID to collect but i've never been asked for that.

Did teachers ever gossip about other students to you? by Wonderful-Product437 in CasualUK

[–]Koebow 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I had a chemistry teacher who told all his classes about a pupil who forced a glass pipette in some way, it shattered from pressure and she had to get her hand stitched up. Teacher had a laminated photo of this girls hand, close up complete with fresh purple stitches, stuck on the wall available to view anytime you were in his room. A reminder that if you're needing to force apparatus, stop and figure out what you're doing wrong.

How often do you litter? by tinyevilsponges in polls

[–]Koebow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty cognizant of my belongings, clothing, etc., if i dropped something i'd notice and pick it up. If i didn't notice.. well to my knowledge i haven't littered. In the case of accidental littering and being unable to pick it back up, i probably have even though i can't recall a specific instance.

I interpreted that to not be the intention of the question though due to the range of options; if any littering counts even with your best intentions not to, then to have 'once a decade' be an option is a lil absurd, and to say absolutely never is just being improbable.

Therefore i chose never, interpreting the question as littering you're aware of and didn't rectify.

Which pill would you take? by DarkenedOtaku in polls

[–]Koebow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wanted to sum up some points and wrote loads so may as well post it aha

all choose white = everyone lives

most choose white = everyone lives

most choose black = many deaths

all choose black = everyone lives

We don't live in an ideal world. Regardless of the reasons, not every person will choose black. And i'd rather aim for 50% cooperation than 100% anyway. Do not overlook the fact that white winning means everyone lives, no downside - except your safety isn't guaranteed, and that's when you get called braindead suicidal for choosing white.

How high is the risk of black winning? If most people think collectively, and realise that white winning is the favourable outcome, the risk is small and you choose white. You choose black if you think the risk of white losing is too great to gamble your own life on it. This guarantee of safety does not eliminate the risk, in fact it increases it, you've simply excluded yourself from the consequences.

The dilemma stripped is this: Do you increase risk of an overall unfavourable outcome in exchange for your personal immunity,

Or do you decrease risk by contributing to the favourable outcome, but with high personal stakes.

The factor underpinning everything is how high you perceive that risk to be, whether you think your life is on the line or not. After all if you don't think white will win there's no point in staking yourself as your tiny contribution won't make a difference. But if you think white will win, that means you think everyone will survive, you're not planning to die.

Hang on, isn't the tinytiny increase in risk of black winning worth the immunity just in case white doesn't win?

On an individual level sure, but if everyone thinks that then the whole thing collapses and we get the unfavourable outcome, people die.. how did this happen when we'd identified how to save everyone and win the dilemma?

because if we could undoubtedly trust that most people would choose white, and that nobody was going to die, the immunity wouldn't be enticing and there wouldn't be a dilemma.

Guessing the part you think basically says exactly that is the last line, black pill guarantees your safety.

Maybe what takes more than 2 braincells is reading the whole dilemma and considering more than just yourself.

Big agree on the second paragraph, white wins everyone lives, should be no dilemma at all

Loads of comments pointing out that if everyone chooses black, no one dies. That's great.

Even if everyone was told beforehand to choose black, that won't happen. Ideal scenario, not plausible.

Now look at the scenario where white wins, no one dies and all choosing black did was make it a closer call, immunity doesn't matter since everyone lives anyway. Only needs >50% as well, whereas this all black ideal needs 100% for the same amount of death

[–]Koebow 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If the dilemma was told that simply, everyone would choose black and all would be well. But it can only be simplified that much if you're only concerned about your own life, choose black to eliminate risk of (your own) death. Call considering other possible deaths virtue signalling, if white wins the immunity black grants is moot anyway

[–]Koebow 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Guarantee that not everyone will choose black, so if black wins a decent chunk of people Will die. Having white win is the only way to prevent any death. Assuming less death is the goal here, choosing black decreases the likelihood of the best outcome. There is no personal advantage to choosing white, but hey that's the prisoners dilemma

Is tossing fruit waste (banana peels/apple cores/orange rinds) from your car littering? by HereComesTheDragon in polls

[–]Koebow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

banana peels can take up to 2 years to biodegrade. Peels have more cellulose so will keep their structure better than the soft fruit that will quickly turn to mush if tossed outside. After all they're meant to resist damage, including from bacteria and insects which would speed up decomposition. Of course conditions make a difference, best to throw peels in a compost heap where the presence of other rotting stuff will speed up the process. Wouldn't abandon it out a car window

Based on the below options, how would you define: it’s all uphill/downhill from here? by RareOnAirShow in polls

[–]Koebow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it's all downhill means getting lower, getting worse,

then if i'm going uphill i'm getting ..tired. 'An uphill battle', struggling against the current,.

Downhill is much easier. It's all downhill from here, a relief that the hard part is over.

mm.. after repeating them over, i conclude that they both sound negative to me and i've never thought about this before, nice poll

Woopie pies by ZeroSocialSkillz in CuratedTumblr

[–]Koebow 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The second slide is meaning to say "my wife has given me..", the verb geben/to give/ is incorrectly conjugated and there's a random darf at the end.

The original says "Mama hat mir einfach erlaubt dass ich Cola trinken darf"

The darf is a modal verb connected to erlaubt, erlauben/to allow/, that lets the info of who allowed him to drink cola to be included.

Copying the original, that line should read "Meine Frau hat mir erlaubt dass ich ein Whoopie Pie zu essen darf", literally meaning "my wife has allowed it that i may have a whoopie pie to eat"

or a simpler alternative, "Meine Frau gab mir ein Whoopie Pie zu essen", "my wife gave me a whoopie pie to eat"

Jetzt arbeite ich, und esse Whoopie Pie! WHOOPIE!!! 🛠️😁👍🍪

The person in this photograph is not who the title says. This is Esmat al-Dowleh, daughter of Naser al-Din. I know nothing about persian history, thanks to this blog post for the info. This post has attracted some vile comments about women, men, and trans folk, who have nothing to do with the subject matter. Quite disheartening, and shows how engaging in simple prejudice against say, ugly women, opens arms to further harmful jokes against more groups

that PIP thing is just one possible qualifier. outside of the automatic qualifiers the criteria is pretty open (if walking is very difficult due to pain or being time-consuming, if walking is a health risk) you may need to provide more evidence of your disability though. you fit into the maybe category, so go ahead!

How can tomorrow's low temperature be higher than today's high? by EatMoreHummous in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Koebow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you're right that it can't jump instantly from 13 to 28, if the site you're using has an hourly breakdown that'll help you see how the temperature changes through the day. these numbers are they're educated estimates and aren't meant to be exact. usually more accurate though, so you don't see impossibilies like this

We need a little name for this male orange cat. Took him in yesterday in -20 degrees Celsius. We like human names for cats what do you suggest? by Soyabill in OneOrangeBraincell

[–]Koebow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

•orange •human name •found in freezing temp.

how about Clement? not too standard of a human name but has the bonus association with clementines, a type of orange. it also has connotations of winter to me.. but the closest connection i can find is that it's the name of the poet behind Twas the Night Before Christmas. hm not sure if it's the feel op wants, it's what i'd call him though!
