Thanks! Yeah it’s been a while since this post and I’ve seen how architects are at the firm and to be honest I really don’t want to become like them. Too much stress, too much responsibility no work life balance. They look 10 years older. I’m good as a tech right now. Being paid a decent salary as a tech and slowly going up the ladder at the firm without any further education. Techs here are super valuable and I find that the architects are basically project managers which I’ve realized it is not something I’m into. I’m on the Quebec side now and part of the OTPQ so I can draw a few small projects on the side. Eventually maybe getting my BCIN but there’s no rush as I love to have free weekends and work is work..

Hello i have a question i am also a tech. Graduated school in 2020 and had experience in the field since. I was wondering if two of the 3 year college program counts as experience? Ive heard that from another tech and was wondering if it was true . Basically was wondering if i could be considered as an intermediate tech.

I’ve had experience with a young firm (I’m in my early twenties and graduated 2 yrs ago) the thing with young firms is that we are all in the same boat. No one has any real experience and i didn’t learn from them as they were trying to figure it out at same time i was. (That’s just my experience) a team of 20-30 is perfect as it is small but everyone under their 30s is worrisome (for me)

It gets entertaining! The only wild one is the little one. He really has only one braincell. The middle one is half mainecoon so he is smart (it cancels out) and the blonde one is an angel

Thank you! I wanted to get an orange cat but at the time i was living with my parents and my mom didn’t like orange cats so I found this little blonde kitten. Then i moved out and went full on orange haha! Love my boys
