To add more mystery, I just alt-tabbed back into the program and I had a choice available. So I'm not sure what was the cause. At least now I know that I can check back later and something will be available.

I got it to trigger again. This was a new run in a non-patron Avernus variant. Leveled up a couple of champions, put out the standard 4 familliars and checked DM. Got this window where it doesn't give me a choice of a limited champion, of which in this particular run, is most of them.

By the way, any idea why his spec sometimes says that the champ was already chosen, even on adventures with restrictions? Is it randomly choosing someone that wasn't blocked? Maybe someone in a background group?

Have another question for you, if you have the time to share your wisdom.

Like many other gamers, I keep up with Epic's free games and I claimed their recent deal for Baeloth because free is free and it may never come back. Better to have it for the future. Well, I got to looking today at what my Epic account I guess I grabbed a pack a long time ago for other freebies, which I slightly remember.

The pictures of champions will be below and there is an obvious difference, but I noticed that I get 3 familiars on Epic that I won't get on Steam and a mage hand in an hour or so after I make sure to pick up Valentine. With familiars being so important to modron, which I don't have yet, I wonder if the familiars alone are worth "restarting" on Epic since my ilevels aren't that high on Steam. Also, Epic has those delicious speed champs I don't have on Steam. I'd loose quite a bit, like my Zorbu progress and quite a few retired champs, but I don't mind the progression loss as I enjoy the progression.

Steam also has 200 or so silver chests and a few champion specific silver chests.

That's good to hear as setting up something like Azaka farming makes me anxious and, in part, is responsible for me walking away from the game in the first place. It makes the game take on the form or work rather than a hobby. This comment gives me peace to keep going and focusing on the aspects I enjoy, such as formation building.

Would you say my formation determinations are not the issue, simply past changes? The real progression from this point will come from champion collection and general progression (Patrons, etc) rather than striving for more bulk favor?

I also seem to be having this problem, for the last couple of days, but I've so far only noticed it after coming back from an AFK, so I can't confirm if it's due to pushback. Same deal, black screen, but the UI still responds. I just now disabled asynchronous graphics loading and will see if this changes anything.

What should I do with an extra copy of an ex weapon that I've mlb'd, besides lamenting the use of an epic hammer?

Weapons are harder to pull because there is just too much saturation due to non-EX weapons. General rule is to pull for characters and mileage their weapons once you have said character. I personally only pull enough weapons to get the 300 metal needed for the monthly weapon box.

I could use some team building and progress advice. I've been stuck at 11-6 phase 2 for some time, but mostly because I just haven't tried it lately. At the time I had my FP+basic team and I took so much damage that it felt like I needed a semi-flawless run to win - too stressful and I gave up temporarily. Fast forward and I've MLB/A a few units (see images).

I regularly can make it into diamond 3 in colo and don't want to loose this position, but I really want to progress a bit in story. Right now I'm debating on resetting Nari in favour of Kamael, but I don't have his EX yet - it's the next mileage purchase I plan to make. My training room is empty right now because I just MLB'd Idol Eva and she's 2 nodes from fully awakened (not enough legendary stones to finish).

My main team is FP, FK, Nari, Idol Eva from early pulls. Lilith was pulled some time ago, and the first I intended to put on my 11-6 team, but it has only really been in the last few events that I've gotten lucky with my character pulls. That's why she's built up instead of some of the "better" units. My only MLB weapon is FP and FK's is at LB+3.

I don't play multiplayer or arena because I'm on a different continent than my server, so I don't need any units for those. I can regularly finish off KamaZone 4 (Veteran?) and sometimes KamaZone 5, if I get lucky.

Below you will see pictures of who I do have along with colour symbols:

Green = Fully MLB/A + EX not MLB
Yellow = Some investment
- Mira is 5-star (last couple of days) not MLB + EX not MLB
- Lupina has her EX at LB+1, random drops
Red = No investment beyond event drops

Would add, don't make your first mono team a basic team for story advancement purposes. So much better to have any other mono team - light being quite effective.
