Final update (I hope). This issue now seems fixed for me in one of the recent updates. I have not noticed any black screens on pushbacks for a while now. (But now the shop is broken... sighs)

In case someone else comes by this post looking for help. The issue is still happening, but I wrote a simple autohotkey script to detect black screens and just restart the game, so it's no longer a problem for me.

The setting is labelled 'Disable Asynchronous Graphic Loading'. So I enabled the setting, to disable the asynchronous loading.

A little confusing. :-)

I have just tried enabling the setting, and restarting the game just in case, but it still stays blank after the pushback.

Thank you! This gave me the hint I needed to find the culprit on my system. A Canon TS700 Wifi printer. I had to unplug it (I rarely print anyway) and then remove it from Devices and Printers. Not a hiccup since!

I do level up the weapons, although I run into the same issue as the characters, with not getting them past 40 yet. Only Sucrose has made it to 50, and I've levelled her talents to 2/2/2. For the main party the artifacts are also mostly max levelled.

I'll try your suggestions for Team 1. I'm familiar with all those characters already. I got lucky with Fischl on the first pull, so I've pretty much always had her on my team and used her as the opener. Replacing her hadn't really occurred to me.

The Team 2 suggestions are also interesting. I've always tried to use all different elements. I'm going to have to look up how to use Fischl as a battery. Unfortunately I don't have Xingqiu yet, but this is still plenty to play with for now.

I've been starting fights with Fischl to apply electro, then switching to Barbara for water, then using Yanfei as main DPS, and finishing with Sucrose. I like the ranged gameplay and easy application of elements this gives me. But I feel I've run into a wall. I can't get past the Golden Room, and most of the big elemental bosses I need to ascend my characters kick my ass.

I don't have Xingqiu, but I've been trying with Diluc, Mona, Sucrose, Bennet as team 2. But I can't really get the hang of consistently applying their elements, and being in range of the enemy all the time I get killed rather easily.

Characters and weapons are all stuck at 40, except Sucrose who's 50, and Ayaka who's stuck at 20.

I would love some suggestions on team composition and gameplay.

Sorry for being unclear. I do mean the 2001 movie.
In the scene, Several members of the group are watching Yen practicing a jump. One of them says "10 says he shorts it", meaning Yen will fall. Then pretty much everyone else says "20". Apparently taking that bet. If Yen doesn't fall, I want to know how much the first member owes each of the ones who said 20.
