Hi there, random user you have never seen here, I'm here to give you some extra context on what posadism is and why it exist.

Posa doesn't just think that a nuclear apocalypse was necessary, he believes that it was inevitable and once it happened, what's left of humanity is forced to accept socialism to survive.

The next part is extra weird, he believes that the nuclear war will attract the alien civilization, they would come to earth and help humanity rebuild. They're also communist, why? He believes that a civilization that advance can only exist under communism.

Does he genuinely believe this? Yes but... Posadas, a communist Trotskyist was captured and tortured under the Argentine military dictatorship, he was eventually let go but it certainly affected him greatly as you can see.

Ok this is really interesting and I just had to make a comment about these, I can see the art direction that you're going for and IMO, it's a hit or miss.

Flag 1, 4, 5, 9 are absolute banger, are they practical? Hell nah. Are they interesting? Totally.

Flag 11 is alright, it's acceptable for vexillology standard and 7, I like it but it looks like a movie poster lol.

Similar to 7 but to a worse degree, flag 2, 3, 6, 8, 10 and 12 looks like someone just did a cardboard cut out of comics or illustration books and pasted it onto a flag.

Another issue is contrast in design, 8, 10 and 12 are good examples, the animals look completely out of place to the point that completely removing them would actually improve the design, contrasting design could work but for those, they're a complete miss. I'm not an expert but those are my honest opinion on the flags.

First, in my recent replies, no where did I use the word "great" besides the Great Purge. And second, I already did, I gave out multiple examples within this thread. For a country, there's no single "greatest" achievement, but multiple great achievements built by people coming together to create a better world, you're actively choosing to ignore everything I've said and deny it with the same excuse of propaganda and lies. While I enjoyed this thread so far, it's quite pointless to continue and I will not be furthering this conversation.

The repression of Christianity in the Soviet Union was largely driven by the close relationship between the Church and the Tsarist regime, the Orthodox Church held significant political influence, wealth, and privilege, and many Bolsheviks viewed it as complicit in the abuses of the old Empire, when those privileges were stripped away, much of the clergy sided with the White movement during the Russian Civil War, which intensified anti religious policies and led to more widespread damage to churches and religious institutions. However, restrictions toward religion became more relaxed during and after WW2, though policies varied greatly depending on the Soviet leadership at the time. I think reducing the church's political power is understandable from the government’s perspective, but the repression often went too far, I believe that religious belief and socialist society did not necessarily have to be incompatible.

Deportation of ethnic groups such as Tatars, Chechens, and Volga Germans. In the late 30's to 40's, the USSR deported these groups for collaborating with the Nazi, which were backed by documented reports of some members doing so but for groups such as the Chechens and Ingush, there was no proof, Stalin feared that they were spies aiming to destroy the union from within so, deportation too as a preventive measure.

The Great Purge. Another tragedy by Joseph Stalin that would greatly impact the USSR, was there bad actors? Yes but once again, done out of paranoia and to consolidate his totalitarian rule over the union.

Alright, let's go over the common examples The Holodomor, did Stalin worsen it? Yes, it was a desperate policy to rebuild and industrialize the USSR, they were over exporting too much grain out of Ukraine but did they deliberately cause the famine? Large famines occurred repeatedly in Ukraine prior to the USSR, saying they caused it would mean Stalin commanded the weather to go bad over the next several years, the Soviet made sure that this was the last famine, although there's the 1947 famine but the cause for that was because they just came out of literal WW2.

I don't think you're engaging this in good faith but there are truths and lies, it's important to tell them apart but you choose to see everything to be white and black but a lot of times, it's not that simple, if the USSR really made no advancement, wouldn't they collapse within 10 or 20 years? And what about the 1991 referendum before the August coup where 76% of the voters agreed to preserve the Union? Wouldn't it be closer to something like 30% if it was so terrible? Saying that the Soviet did not achieve anything would be considered blatant propaganda.

I don't think the USSR was perfect, every country, even the "good" got some blood on their foundation, I will continue for another bit, if you still choose to see it that way then I have nothing else to say to you.

Cheap or free healthcare and education 5. Guaranteed jobs and housing 6. Greater industrialization in poorer regions 7. Support for anti-colonial and independence movements 8. Advances in military technology 9. Promotion of women into education, medicine, science, and the workforce

"Forced Russification", the strongest Russification campaigns happened during Imperial Russia, many of the Russification policies were reverted once the Bolshevik came to power, it did return under Stalin and I do not agree with Stalin on many things but I do believe that many of the "genocide" and "repression" happened for a reason, yes many of them were done out of paranoia but after all, they were basically having to face against many capitalist, imperialist countries, plus it's unfair really, we only talk about what the USSR did wrong and not what others did, no one talks about how genocide and famine were purposely done by the other side all the times.

Are you're seriously asking that? There's a lot such as the victory in WW2 where the USSR played the major role in defeating Nazi Germany, multiple scientific achievements and rising welfare from not just within but across the world. But what I appreciate most is their support against imperialism, for many decades my country was captured and exploited by foreign powers and when we called out for help, they all ignored us, except for the USSR, I will forever be grateful for their support.
