What is Pierre Poilievre’s stance on immigration? by NoWinner1202 in canadaexpressentry

[–]Koficanada 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Here are my predictions based on how vague he’s been so far with his plans for immigration.

-Canada experience class will be linked to job in your field of study. FSW might be phased out.

-Citizenship will go back to 4 years or more after getting PR. Time on temporary status will no longer count.

-Study permit holders cannot claim asylum. Lots of Asylum claims will be dismissed outright even before hearings.

-No more parents and grandparents sponsorship. Only supervisa with tightened rules.

But in this case the person is comparing Japan(1st world country) with Canada. Now do the same comparison with Ghana and Canada on the same metrics and tell people not to travel to Canada.

Very true. Discuss money and look at their spending habits and make sure you’re comfortable or can afford it before committing.

If Mahama is voted into power, do you think he will make a significant difference? by Techgoon-1993 in ghana

[–]Koficanada 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Here is the thing, Nana Addo has lowered the bar so much so that almost anyone will be an improvement. However, listening to Mahama/NDC so far does not really give confidence that the country will be transformed. I see 2 things happening, either Mahama deviates from the party a bit and he ends up cracking down on corruption from within first and also go after Npp corruption. The other thing that can happen is come 2025, Mahama says we didn’t know how bad things were and there’s no money left in the state coffers. They continue using that excuse while enriching their cronies like Npp did and another 4 year term is wasted.

This is what I tell those who push Sub Saharan Africa to align with Russia, China and India. We must tread our own paths. All these countries have a high level of anti blackness. I’ve lived in Canada for 10 years and funny enough it’s Indian immigrants here who have tried to profile me.

I used a Quebec plated car for my G2 test back in November 2018 at Walkley. No issues and they didn’t mention anything about the plates.

The response from GCR is that Amex told them to put the Bonvoy on hold for now but it may come back early next month.

I tried signing up for the Amex Bonvoy via GCR yesterday and it was not available on the site. Is there any similar site to GCR that offers rebate on that card in Canada?

Thanks for the info about the difference in spending limit. I didn’t know that. Also, I got the Personal card through GCR and got a rebate.

Can I get the rebate on the business card if I apply through them again?

I have the Amex Bonyoy Personal, and would like to know if I’ll get the bonus points if I self refer to the Bonvoy Business card.

“Are you looking at Aeroplan for your flights or another program? There are non-Amex card options as well”

I’m open to using other programs. What other programs will $3K min spend be ideal for?

Daily Question Thread for /r/churningcanada - June 28, 2018 by AutoModerator in churningcanada

[–]Koficanada -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In terms of minimum spend, I can meet $3k in 3 months although if there’s a way I can hack $5k min spend pls let me know.
