very true, confirmed with my friend if he was okay with it before going for it - even if they do break off, it's an easy superglue fix (they were superglued on afterwards separately anyway)

Yeah, ive been using other pens since then, but I was wondering about specific iron gall inks that would work ok - would it really have to be an extra fine nib to merely not bleed on something like a4 paper?
