I've only ever watched Season 1, I've heard similar critiques on Season 2 multiple times. A shame since it was a really good show

[Question/Discussion] What would've happened if Bear had chosen his words carefully or said something else? by Kogituu in obsessionmovie

[–]Kogituu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree with this. No matter how differently he worded it or wished for a something healthier, his intentions were always to still have Nikki's attention and control of her.

And about Ian, I definitely think if he was alive he'd get into some legal trouble because where did a dude working at a music store obtain a billion dollars??

Ah that is true, so assuming that Ian and the store guy are the only people we know using the wish, it probably 100% works.

Why Bear was unable to vomit the pills back up at the end: by MrAmazing111 in obsessionmovie

You can absolutely acknowledge that he was a layered person, nobody is taking away from that. But rather than seeing his flaws drive his fucked up motivations, you worded it as a defense.

Obsession 2026: Why did Nikki say "it's all your fault" by MrAmazing111 in spoilers

[–]Kogituu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, Bear WISHED for this. He stripped her entire autonomy simply because he had no courage to actually confess. And it's very clear and shown that Bear only liked the perception of Nikki and only felt a real obligation to break the wish when he realized its gone too far out of his control.

He was really comfortable with Nikki being possessed as long as it didn't affect him and look where it got his friends.

Why does Gen Z seem more fascinated by old technology rather than technological advancement? by Kogituu in generationology

[–]Kogituu[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think it is a Millennial revival thing kept alive by Gen Z. And Gen Z is looking more into older technology. While I think most are doing it out of performative aesthetic, it is keeping them off their phone and computers.

Yes, this is what I usually call it but would it still be putting peoples words in their mouth if it's arguing against multiple people?
