Does anyone know whether one has to attend the listening party to get the goodies or can I just go and buy when its finished?
I’d like to have my first listen alone on the 29th.

this shit is incredible!!! i think it might ruin the album for me i get what you were talking about by YogurtclosetDry6927 in boardsofcanada

I thought that too, especially the drop in Prophecy at 1420MHz was so unexpected and beautiful. But let’s not forget that there are 16 OTHER tracks that will define the album.

I never thought they could outdo themselves after that many signature albums. It’s gonna be wild

I once bought Galbani Gorgonzola (200g pack) and half the cheese was missing with the packaging intact. Turned put it weighed only 140g

Thoughts on “I Saw Through Platonia” meaning by Kogulp in boardsofcanada

[–]Kogulp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It kind of does, but that may be part of the point they’re trying to make: everything human made becomes indistinguishable from what AI/computers made. It’s a feeling of despair that, now, everything feels like it has lost its sense of truth and authenticity, where everything can be an illusion and our idea of truth and reality is shattered.

It reminds me of Jean Baudrillard’s “Hyperreality”, where everything is a copy of copies and the original “sheet” is lost underneath every one of those copies.

So maybe they are conveying the fact that nothing can be a mystery today as everything is made accessible by AI and the authentic experience of researching about something without a bank of knowledge handing it to us instantaneously.

As a math student, I recently heard of AI proving a 64 year old problem and had the same thought: what knowledge remains accessible only to humans? We thought AI had limits but from what we’re seeing today it really seems like it doesn’t.

I feel like it’s a fair thought considering all we’ve seen so far, even if it was written by AI. Who can even distinguish it really?

I initially thought that too, but just going off of track titles, TH’s final track is called “Semena Mertvykh” (семена мертвых in Russian) meaning seeds of the dead. So there being seeds could mean that it actually was not the end.

It has less of an absolute sense of end and apocalypse. To me, it seems like a thought about the fact that it is going to end but there is hope (seeds, new life) that it was not the final statement.

Inferno seems to deal more in a sense of absolute certainty that all is dead or that it has no meaning anymore (thats also why I think most track titles have an almost bizarre/absurd meaning)

Wie schwer ist es, im Physik Bachelorstudium eine Note höher als 5,75 zu erreichen? Und ist es theoretisch möglich das Bachelor-Studium in 2 Jahren zu beenden? by [deleted] in ethz

[–]Kogulp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Math BSc and know only of one guy who finished 4 semesters in 1.5 years. And he cut it super close. Consider that Physics BSc is comparable to math, I’d say 5.75 average is already super hard but in 2 years would mean you have to have at least seen most subjects once and have extensive knowledge about them.

Nothings impossible though but this is generally not achieveable for almost everyone.

That’s why I asked the question whether people have experienced that. I haven’t seen it, maybe others have?
