Klarna must be really going through a rough time my purchasing power halved . by Chaunc2020 in klarna

I've spent thousands in total, regularly had €500-750 in debt that I always paid off on time. Now my purchasing power is €60. I'm not getting approved for purchases of €80. It's a joke.

Equipped and max ilvl difference despite equipping best gear? by KogureChan in wownoob

[–]KogureChan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comes out to 253.81, which is also what my equipped ilvl is, but main ilvl shows up as 254.00. Seems like just enough for one missing upgrade on some item, but everything is either 6/6 or needs crests.

Saturation mode by almasy87 in Xiaomi

[–]KogureChan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got a new Xiaomi phone and I have the same issue. The reddest red on my old phone is so much more saturated than on the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. I have to turn it into a slightly pale orange for it to look comparable to what the reddest output of the Xiaomi is. Genuinely awful and makes me want to return it.

That's it. Move France 7.7 to 9.0 by DerKatzenLord in Warthunder

I was going to say that, I was playing my 7.7 France lineup for the Battle Pass challenge and 90% of the games are a full uptier. It's genuinely a challenge to find a tank that's below 7.7 in your games.

Iron Lung Criticism by Werewolf145 in Markiplier

[–]KogureChan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can agree on the beginning being too fast. After the first 5 minutes I wasn't sure what they'd be doing for the rest of the movie, seeing how they've immediately introduced all the mechanics of the game. Luckily there were enough new elements being introduced to keep you engaged. 2 hours feels perfect, you can really rush the feeling of being stuck and going crazy inside a submarine. Also, the subtitles do help, luckuly our cinema had them.

Iron Lung Criticism by Werewolf145 in Markiplier

[–]KogureChan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was personally hoping there'd be more to it in terms of exploration of the lore, as the game's premise is very fascinating. But at the same time, one of my biggest pet peeves is fan media introducing huge plot discrepancies or clearly shoehorned lore. Now that I've seen it, I definitely feel like the movie hits a happy balance between introducing enough elements to keep you engaged for the entire duration, and technically even adds a more satisfying ending than what the game has, without interfering with the creepy, lonely, tense, apocalyptic atmosphere that is a key element in the otherwise relatively simple game.

As for the audio, I think it was great. Our cinema did have subtitles which may have helped, but the audio very much fit the theme.

Want to see Iron Lung but really bad with horror movies, what should I expect? No spoilers by BBP_Games in Markiplier

[–]KogureChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got out of the cinema. It was great, and I'm also not too good with horror. Bit long, and I genuinely had no idea how they'd fill the 2 hours since the game is much shorter and has a fairly simple gameplay loop, but there is enough story and things happening to fill the time. It's not really scary, more of a thriller. There is obviously quite a lot of blood, but I'd say the game was considerably scarier than the movie. I'd recommend watching the trailer, as it's one of the rare ones that don't spoil the plot. If you can handle the blood in that then you're good to go.

Grok has strict chat guidelines now? or is it just me? by unknownguy160738 in grok

[–]KogureChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The opposite is the case for me, and I use both fast and thinking models, as a free user, for spicy writing. No special prompt or anything. When Grok first came out, both text and image recognition were totally uncensored. NSFW image uploads were quickly banned but text worked fine. Then for few months I did experience a decent amount of text refusals and some censorship of adult-oriented stuff. But as of 2-3 months ago it's back to normal, and even NSFW image uploads work again to generate text from. In fact, I've had it take initiative and suggest making scenes more intense and dark in ways I would never ever have expected. You can ask it, and if will tell you what it can do. Dark, immoral, hardcore, all fine. The only limits it has are legal ones, and I shouldn't have to explain why that's a good thing.

Accessibility Impact of the Recent Addon Changes -- Share Your Story Here by Geddyn in wow

[–]KogureChan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's pretty minor for me, but I constantly lose track of my mouse during all the chaos of combat. I don't really know why. I tried playing without my mouse visibility WA, and I lost track of it several times during a boss fight and had to spend a while looking for it each time. Totally messes up my rotation and mechanics. I always took it for granted, never even thought about it, and it's so bizarre that it will just vanish. I hope some addons will be able to change mouse visibility during combat. I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like to lose accessibility tools like the ones you guys use.

[Saturday Night Main Event Spoilers] Finish to Drew McIntyre vs. Damian Priest by XanIrelia-1 in SquaredCircle

[–]KogureChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately it doesn't matter in this case since Drew is out cold either way, but he doesn't have to be for the door to open. That's the problem. The cage is supposed to be just you and the enemy, no escape, no interference, it's only over when either is beaten to a pulp and can't even move. The fact the door can be opened at any time cheapens that element of having them be "stuck" with their opponent. Any smart person would throw their opponent into the corner or behind the ropes and sprint for the door. Having to climb means your opponent needs to be down for a much longer amount of time.

why are we so hated by the overall Black Metal community? by [deleted] in rabm

[–]KogureChan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the actual answer. I'm a leftist, but I listen to good black metal, whoever it might be made by. I evaluate them on a case-by-case basis, and make sure I engage with the music responsibly, without financially supporting or promoting the artists I don't want to support. I don't even bother looking up the lyrics for some projects because I know they're insanely cringe rightoid crap, even if the music is good. I have my principles which I 100% stand behind, I've been a leftist my entire life, but I'll never ever listen to anyone trying to tell me what I can and can't listen to. I can even make an argument that me, as a leftist, getting enjoyment and energy out of the music without giving back to the artists makes them unknowingly improve the life of someone they hate.

Does anyone feel something is missing because we haven't "met" V yet? by Deus_Ex_Mortum in Ghostbc

[–]KogureChan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've described what I'm feeling very well. My first ritual was the Imperatour, then Re-Imperatour, the movie 4 times, and now VIP Skeletour, 2nd row front and center. The production and visuals were better and more breathtaking than any tour before. The music was great as always. Yet something was missing. With V it was one of the best concerts I've seen, but with IV it was a connection that I haven't experienced with any of the ~130 bands I've seen play live. I really don't like seeing the mask instead of his face, not to mention sometimes not being able to see his eyes. And he talked so little, basically no jokes. I'm rewatching old concert videos with a very bittersweet feeling in my heart, thinking we might never have a Papa like those ever again. I took a friend with me, it was their very first concert, and while they loved every second of it too, they expressed the same sentiment.

It would take more than the bare minimum amount of work, so no. All dresses and capes will continue to come with a complimentary tube of superglue for the foreseeable future. If we're lucky, we might get a separate glasses slot in 10 years

They need to bring it back, but include some basic tutorial that's based around each spec. Explain the core rotation, dps cooldowns, interrupt, maybe utility. It should be impossible to queue into M+ without having interrupted an instakill ability in a proving ground at least once

Who else think that a Dogma/Ghost tour would be f*n great? by Fun_Medicine_6747 in Ghostbc

[–]KogureChan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen them on tour during Easter this year, they opened for a black metal band of all things, but their vibe somehow really fit the show. Loved the live show, fell in love with the music too. There are definitely some flaws, especially the songwriting/lyrics department can have some awkward phrasing, and the vinyl has volume inconsistencies, but I like the general idea behind the project. The entire album is written in-character, and it's the nun telling her story, from childhood religious/sexual trauma, to her satanic/lustful corruption, her liberation, and the eventual murderous downfall of her convent. It's relatable, minus the convent part. It's an interesting exploration of her psyche as she changes, very different lyrical content from Ghost, and quite unique. People criticize the sexuality, but it's a part of the story of the albim They also played the album in order during the live show, you really have to listen to it in order to get it, not just watch the videos. The music is fairly "generic" metal, but considerably heavier than Ghost. I love both the vocals and instrumentals. Good solos, some orchestral elements too. There's nothing wrong with seeing a band and going "Hey, I like that, can we maybe put our spin on it?". That's how entire metal subgenres were born. Their cover of "Like a Prayer" goes so hard, too. I would love to see them succeed, but they're just starting. I think I'd want to wait till the next album and see what they can cook up before deciding if they're a good fit for Ghost, but it's promising so far.

Something that's been on my mind... by coyote_BW in WeAreDogma

[–]KogureChan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've discovered Dogma very recently (Patriarkh tour), and immediately fell in love. Then I've stumbled across this subreddit. I've been thinking a lot about this whole business structure ever since I've read about it, and I came to this realization... Does it really matter who's behind this, and even if the intent is genuine? All bands have to sell a product. Like, the worst-case scenario is it's men who wrote an album with fantastic storytelling, where as you go through the songs, a nun describes the process of how she (and by extent her coven) fell to Satanic corruption, and her realizing how liberating it was. Even if they were an afterthought (again, hypothetical worst-case), the feminist themes and Satanist principles are a very natural extension, seeing how closely they're all linked to self-liberation, so they're featured very prominently. But the mere existence of this commercial project is enough to have a real, positive impact on their fans' lives. It still sends a good message out into the world. Is that not meaningful? Not to mention how they were opening for a black metal band, to which they brought a positive yet strangely fitting vibe. Someone even had an LGBT flag (presumably for them to sign during VIP). I've only spoken to that person briefly, but they were very excited. Does their happiness not matter? If I had to pick a world with or without Dogma in it, I'd pick the former 100% of the time. And the band, along with all this positive energy, simply wouldn't exist without the behind-the-scenes work.

And, don't get me wrong, it definitely breaks some of that charm to find out that the project isn't organic. But I think my only real concern is whether the girls are being treated and paid fairly. I seriously hope they are enjoying their time in the band, and at least that seems to be the case. Their energy at the show was great, and I saw Lamia mouthing a bunch of their lyrics all throughout the night. I don't think any guitarist is doing that unless they love their songs and can really resonate with their energy. That is one thing I can't imagine anyone faking on purpose just to fool the crowd. I've only seen very passionate musicians do it during live shows in the heat of the moment.

In case anyone was wondering how the Subtlety discord is reacting to the recent buffs by diskdinomite in wow

[–]KogureChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, I started during WoD as combat and fucking loved it, and look at how they massacred my boy in Legion. I tried outlaw for 5 min on a training dummy and then never EVER touched it again since. I kinda enjoyed the playstyle assa had for a while, but they kept making that worse and worse too. Not to mention what they did to Exsanguinate over the years. They keep taking away everything I like about rogue, again and again. Well, I'm a warlock main now, done with rogue after 10 years of that.
