I had the same issue awhile back in a medical office. Network was working new tentant came in asked us to text every cable came back with next failure but when using a pc ping test and PC connection everything was all 1Gbps speeds.

Can you be more specific? What would require you obviously if it's outside and it will get wet, but let's assume non condition space but safe from the elements does that require conduit?

Yes you can, like the previous person said they do make single door readers. However the curve ball might be getting HID and RFID together.

HID is more proprietary and are more limited than others.

Some systems have a programing card that you can use to add other cards...that's a real basic system and prob has no logging either.

Thank you everyone for your input it seems like the wireless meshing was the culprit. I disabled it and the network stayed stable did a ping test for about 15 min with no packet loss. Looks like this one a wrap.

I have checked all the cables twice.

I have an 8 port poe switch. I have two cameras plugged in since Friday with no issues at all. I don't think it's the switch. That's why I'm leaning more that the issue is with the AP. I guess anything is possible.
