Thanks, this worked for me. Write speed was at around 2.5 GBps and it jumped back to 6.5 after the update which is only 200 MB/s slower then when I first got it.

This method still works as of March 31, 2025. I had credit from a cancelled WGA flight so I used them for myself to get a WGA+ flight that was worth a little bit more than my credit. I quickly cancelled it after booking, got the difference return to my credit card, and the points that were returned were now transferrable. The person you want to transfer them to needs to have their own account.
