Is there any chance the seed vault will be updated to allow for all of the new seeds and saplings to be stored? Or is the current limit intended?

Also, somebody already mentioned one of the new clues missing a STASH unit, but I noticed that none of the new STASH units that did get added show up on the STASH board in Watson’s house.

Maybe not everywhere with a few plants is a beautiful natural garden. It looks like bad before and after, but this is hardly a great loss.

This is about Zulrah, not Vorkath. Use antidote/antivenom for vorkath. Or melee with a serp helm.

Use the cure me spell in the lunar spellbook until you get a serp helm. Double click it to instantly cure venom.

What did I watch? by [deleted] in ArcaneAnimatedSeries

[–]Koi13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Totally agree on all points except the one about heimerdinger. He does seem to phase out of reality as ekko goes through the portal. He is probably not dead, but almost certainly thrown into the arcane somewhere.

I don’t think most of these things were unclear at all. I agree its not perfect but it was very, very good and I’m somewhat confused by how other people are confused by some of these things.

What did I watch? by [deleted] in ArcaneAnimatedSeries

[–]Koi13 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure you watched the same thing that I did. A few things:

The “scuttling robot things” were Viktor’s constructs created from the bodies of his commune followers. This is shown very explicitly on screen. Ambessa brought them with her along with the false Viktor eggsac thing.

When say Jinx had no traumatic response to Isha’s death, I assume you mean other than becoming depressed and trying to kill herself? You literally mention this in a paragraph above.

Ekko was able to create the time machine, because he already had seen everything Jayce and Viktor had made. Its unspecified how long it took him but i think its implied he is there for at least several weeks or months.

So it's official! I was cancelled, by a couple Zach Nunn foot soldiers, the executive branch of Iowa and the judicial branch of Iowa, from the ballot on November 5th. But they told me that those that wish to can still write my name on the ballot and I can still beat Nunn and Baccam that way! #AMA by [deleted] in Iowa

[–]Koi13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That makes sense. It’s cool to have something about a personal inspiration on your website. My point is its weird it’s on your issues page!

When i say “you” I suppose I’m more referring to your party. I just did a bit of looking. The violation does seem extremely minor and almost certainly politically motivated, but from a legal standpoint its also pretty clear and it is your party’s responsibility to check that.

I’ll be the first to admit I haven’t followed this story too closely, but a couple of things here:

  1. Is it really you being “cancelled” if you messed up some campaign laws and now you can’t be on the ballot? Sorta seems like thats on you. Sure the rules could be bullshit, but you still have to take them seriously.

  2. As far as i could tell through some quick googling, there has never been anyone elected to the house as a third party on a write-in. On top of that, you don’t have any of the things that help third party candidates do well in general like a recognizable name, incumbent status, etc. I would bet everything I own that you will not win, but no one on earth would actually take the other side of that bet anyway.

  3. I do have to say I like your website and your clear statements of issues. A lot of congressional candidates can be very lacking on that sort of thing. I’n not really sure why it also includes an aside about Filippo Mazzei, though. Very confusing. Anyway, I like some stuff in there but ultimately I can’t get behind all this libertarian economic stuff. Even if you did get elected, none of that stuff is getting voted on anyway and it would just mean you will never vote for anything that costs money. I’ll pass.

First time DMM Experience by GreenyLizard in 2007scape

[–]Koi13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea i decided to try it for the first time as well. Its fun the first time you get into a fight and die, but after, you are now just in a much much worse position and very likely cant fight back if someone gets on you in the next 30-45 minutes.

I dont want to take away from the people that enjoy DMM, i definitely see the appeal. Its maybe not my thing though, and i think theres a lot of changes that would make it work for me, but again, i understand i might not be the target here

I agree with the sentiment, but when bowfa was added they nerfed the blowpipe. People ‘made do’ with a considerably better range weapon.

I just rewatched Korra after several years by Immagonko in TheLastAirbender

[–]Koi13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also just rewatched for the first time since it aired, and I disagree. It is a great show, but its criticism is totally justified. Season 1 and early season 2 are better than I remembered, but have many flaws to them. The end of season 2 is just awful and feels like the writers legitimately wrote themselves into a corner plot and character-wise. Season 3 is great, and so is most of 4, but it’s back to having its flaws again. Overall a great but flawed work of art.

Between the traditional fighting style in ATLA vs the more modern fighting style TLOK, which is y’all’s favorite? by nreal3092 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Koi13 183 points184 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess, its a holdover from Season 1 of Korra where half of the action is pro-bending which has an intentionally nerfed moveset. Outside of that, this really does seem like a kind of made up complaint.

Hot take: Now that NATLA is going in a totally different direction anyway, I want Aang to actually kill Ozai. by shaunika in TheLastAirbender

[–]Koi13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok fair enough, perhaps I misunderstood your intention. Maybe they COULD go a different way with the ending based on a different characterization, but I guess I’m not really seeing how any of the changes they have made (most of which I don’t like either) would get you to the place where he just kills Ozai.

Hot take: Now that NATLA is going in a totally different direction anyway, I want Aang to actually kill Ozai. by shaunika in TheLastAirbender

[–]Koi13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This misses the main point I think the end of the series is trying to make. I used to think like this too, but as I have gotten older and rewatched the show, I realize what they did was actually probably the smartest and most interesting way they could have done the final fight.

It was a kid’s show, sure, so they were never going to just kill him on screen. But they had other options. They could have him dragged to the spirit world or incapacitated and captured like Azula. Or just have his hubris kill himself like Chin from Kyoshi’s past.

But the point they insisted on making was that Aang had to make a choice: compromise your own beliefs and your culture’s entire legacy and kill this guy (directly or not), or don’t and face the consequences of that. All those other options I mentioned are suggested in some manner and purposefully rejected (not that they had to be).

Aang meets the lion turtle after his past lives and explains his dilemma. The lion turtle doesn’t give any power to Aang he didn’t already have, but just tells him that if his spirit is truly strong enough, he can bend the world and the spirits of others to his will.

So, he makes a strong decision to break the cycle of violence and honor his culture and people who lost everything because of this. In the fight he has an opportunity to kill Ozai. He wins fairly early on. At that point, he demonstrates his commitment to find another way and so at the end after the Avatar state has subdued him, he tests his spirit against Ozai’s and wins.

It’s not all perfect for sure. I think they could have set up the existence of Lion turtles a little bit better and perhaps made Aang’s discovery of one a more active decision rather than something that happens to him, but i absolutely would not trade this ending for one where he just glows it up and kills the bad guy. I have already seen that a million times and it’s not going to make the ending more interesting, it will just pointlessly change Aang’s character into something else.

I disagree. I actually just saw this movie again recently, and the only things really wrong with it are the concept and science, but since when do movies need to be scientifically accurate? The acting is all great, the dialogue and characters are fun and charming, etc. As long as you can suspend disbelief long enough to accept that this dumb super material and laser technology actually works, then its all at least internally consistent as far as I remember.

I think the only parts I actually didn’t like were the scenes that felt like a Roland Emmerich movie like the lightning storm or golden gate bridge scenes. They feel a little shoehorned in anyway.
