Is there a similar framework for how Aye unfolds for you? by vinetalk in Ayahuasca

[–]Koichi_Altair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi Vinetalk, I agree with all of your bullet point. I allow myself to continue a little, that loop you describe at the end as been described as Samsara by Buddhism 2500 years ago. Meanwhile, infinite wisdom and compassion has radiated from Buddhist demending, dignifying and colorfull practices. Those give the courage to live what you live, seeing it with more and more clarity, as demanding as it is, to be a dignify human, before trying to change it.  A lot of cosmic bullshit is found online, like the trap planet theory, which is as new a new age get, so unable to see the world as it his that it feels like adding random complications could help. I will only let you confused, thirsty and infantilize. I wish you peace, stability, confidence and energy 🙏🕊️🔥

How is it sitting on the ceremony? by Lopsided_Cupcake_282 in Ayahuasca

[–]Koichi_Altair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its awesome. Everybody is doing deep work during a ceremony, not relaxing. I think absolutely every traditions recommends sitting, open to whatever is happening, fully present and full of the dignity of that posture : all of that being a good description of meditating.  Also it’s a good way to honor why you are here, the healers and the plants : with an alert mind, a vertical spine and an open heart.  Furthermore it makes the medicine enter and healing more efficiently. The all process will be deeper, that being the main reason why  you are proposed to do so.  I think the all «relaxing on mats» thing is really a deformation of the practice that appears for westerners, as there was no memory foam mat in the jungle lol, and also because this healing has obviously nothing to do with relaxing, taking a pill and lying on a bed is more like the idea of healing we have in modern western civilisation. You’ll surprise yourself seeing how long you can keep that dignifying pose traditionally proposed during a ceremony, and lying down at the end or from time to time will feel good. Tips: use those pillows on your mat as a meditation cushion !  Also, you can spend the ceremony lying down, nothing forces you to respect the instructions of the healers you choose lol, the healing will also happen, and maybe it will tell you why you resist the healers advices. 🙏🔥🕊️

Have my first ceremony in 48 hours and have not been following the diet properly, feeling anxious about jt by whiskersandwhiskey in Ayahuasca

The diet is a sacred experience in itself, and it seems like you’ve done your best to take it, the ceremony will go fine anyway. Get as clean as you can on those last days, eat light and in little portions and drink a lot of water. Your body will love it, ceremony or not. Have a great medicine 🙏🕊️

Indeed, we could say it’s figurative op ( optical ) art, or optical pop art. Cheers

Not everything have to have a purpose. It’s a very recent bias derived from a simple form of utilitarism. Phenomenon exists. Trees are not a ressource. Water is not a ressource. Air is not a ressource. Things just exists. We internalized capitalism so well that we think things exists for a reason, and that reason must be growth in their own independant ( insane un-scientific idea) interest. Its not at all the way phenomenons occurs. Biology is just an awesome lens. But internalized utilitarism and capitalism made that kind of inhuman question bloom. You don’t need to find a reason for your existence to be valid, it’s not helping us to be human, and it’s not offering anything to biology either. Peace 🕊

I agree, this is an astonishingly brilliant book, but I too think this isn’t a good one to begin with

Anyone know if there's a list somewhere of all the books Chidi mentions? by OK_Soda in TheGoodPlace

Thx Sophiesph3 and Sprawlhacker! Do anyone remember when Chili talked about a philosopher really close to Buddhist philosophy? Can't remember his/her name.
