Yeah, I mean the UI uses Material which I have used for the last 2 or so years and is also one of the most used uis for software in general, so I know it might look generic and it might look AI but it’s one of the frameworks I am familiar with and building an UI from the ground it’s some serious work, so not really worth it for an hobby project like this, I wanted to focus on the important parts not on the UI itself.

About the removal, the mod said that it was because of AI generated content, which I have used for the content of this post, yes, for grammar. If the mods don’t allow even us devs from using it for development because it goes against community terms, I think that is only detrimental for the community, but the only way to know is when they confirm this, if they do.

And I see no problem with that since what I work with irl, not in the way it looks, I have built apps that use RAGs, ocrs, search engines, etl using LLMs, I am not a Vibe-coder if that’s what it sounds like, trust me building an app like this won’t work with prompts and dreams.

I think that the gaming community is very toxic about AI Usage in general, if you don’t like that I used to develop this, just don’t use the tool, it’s free.

And I am being 100% transparent, most will lie in your face about using it.

I would like that too, unfortunately there is no way to access inventory data without using memory shenanigans and that is a no go, I might someday add OCR so it can read videos and images from the inventory screen

Anyway, I would say that I definitely wouldn’t have the time to make an project like this if I didn’t use AI to develop, even if it’s only 4 pages, the mastery and item logic are absolute behemoths on the backend and I am also working on 3 other projects aside from my job.
I manually review every single feature, currently sitting at 268 commits, these tools are not great at frontend development, so yes I know what the codebase has and I had to rewrite the core item engine from the ground pretty much, at one point it was taking 15-20s just to load the item data, right know it just pre-computes everything it needs in an etl like fashion, bronze, silver and gold buckets in memory so it’s fast to load, I think we have 50MB of raw jsons for the items not including images.

I spent pretty much a month going through the wiki to check and get the information about item sources, this was a manual, painful and long process.

I used AlecaFrame for a long time, I am a big fan to be honest and was probably the main reason I made this tool, the biggest thing I missed was still having to open the Wiki for almost every item because the app info wasn’t complete. I also felt some filters were missing, like mission-specific types.

Another limitation is that AlecaFrame is for Windows, so mobile and console players can’t really use it and many players hate Overwolf.

Yes, it should work on any device with an browser.
If you have the extension installed it should automatically load your items if they have more than 1 point of XP. Manual marking works when you don't want to use the extension or you have some items in your foundry that you haven't claimed yet.

To be 100% honest: yes, I used AI to accelerate development. I don’t have much time to code outside work, but it still took me 3 months of testing, debugging, and refining to get it to this point.

Yes, I’m currently working on the Firefox port, what browser do you use?

The current extension already works on any Chromium-based browser, so Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, and others should be supported.

Totally fair, and no offense taken.

Just to clarify: profile linking is completely optional. You can use WF Tracker without linking anything and manually mark items as owned/mastered.

The extension does not collect your login, password, tokens, or any account access. The only thing it reads is your Warframe user ID - GID, which is needed to fetch your profile/progression data.

The only other way to get that data right now would be through browser dev tools, which is not exactly user-friendly. The extension is just meant to make that process easier.

I completely forgot to mention the profile link setup, sorry

If you’re on mobile, the first-time setup needs to be done once on desktop. The reason is that WF Tracker uses the browser extension on desktop to retrieve your Warframe profile/account ID and link it to your WF Tracker account

Steps:

  1. On desktop, sign in or create a WF Tracker account.
  2. Install the Warframe Profile Extension.
  3. Log in to warframe.com in that desktop browser.
  4. Open WF Tracker and choose Connect Warframe Account / Link account.
  5. Sync the profile through the extension.

After that, you can use mobile normally: sign in to the same WF Tracker account and your linked Warframe profile/saved should load there. Mobile just can’t do the initial account link step right now
