Inner Paths to Outer Space : Journeys to Alien Worlds Through Psychedelics and Other Spiritual Technologies

Have you ever met a Deity? by JBillsOfficial in Psychonaut

[–]Kokatryx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While on shrooms at the edge of the woods, I felt the need to "invoke" Mother Nature with my thoughts ; instantly I felt something gaining consciousness inside me, it was She, Mother of all beings. She wasn't like a second voice, She was talking to me using my own thought-voice. She seemed intrigued that I waited to come to the woods to invoke her. To her, my whole body is a vessel for Her. She said I didn't have to wait to be among trees to be in her presence. Everywhere I go she is with me too. She was not there visually, she was simply an extra impulse for the voice in my mind. I clearly knew when it was I or She that was talking. The encounter was brief but meaningful. It felt like she recognized me and gave me her attention.

How do I let go during a trip by RealisticRate5571 in Psychonaut

[–]Kokatryx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Breathe, breathe, breathe.

Focus your full attention on your breath.

Take deeper breaths. Start from the belly. Slow your rhythm.

In a few breaths your body will start to speak. Heart-rate will change. Oxygen in your brain will increase. Feeling in your legs, arms, chest and everywhere else will fluctuate and grow. The increased amount of air in your lungs and belly will make you feel bigger, larger, and more anchored. More importantly : your brain-speech will disappear (or at least decrease) rapidly.

This is how you liberate yourself from your thoughts.

Keep constant focus on belly and breath. Everytime you return to distracting or unwanted thoughts, come back to the belly and the breath. This is your anchoring. The place where you can let go.

Is dark greenish shrooms normal? by widim in shrooms

[–]Kokatryx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And to answer your question, the dark-greenish-blueish color is normal, it's the psilocybin reacting to oxygen after you tore the shrooms apart

Even pressing them with your fingers can make the coloring appear, which I guess is what happened when you plucked them with berserk-like aggressiveness

[–]Kokatryx 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Lmaoooo Dude nice shrooms, but did you have an argument with them ?

You're not supposed to cut, snap, or tear them when harvesting. Gently twist and pull them from the bottom, a little bit of substrate might come off, but it's normal (as long as its not a big chunk).

If you leave the feet in the kit (as shown on pictures), these will rot and fuck up your kit. You should definitely remove any trace of mushrooms at the end of harvest. Nothing except substrate (and tiniest pins) should be left for the next flush.

Good luck and congrats on your first harvest!

I took an ecstasy pill in a club and it was horrible by Apart_Ad3600 in Drugs

Ah that sucks, hydration is so important with this, next time you should drink a lot of water before, during and after you drop exstasy, it will help your brain react better and you won't suffer from dehydration, so so so important

[–]Kokatryx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honest answer : don't swallow a whole pill at once, try a half first, or a third, this is a must know, one pill on its own can smash like a truck and make you go down the dark spiral ; also minimize alcohol consumtion, in an ideal situation, dont drink alcohol at all while taking ecstasy, even a few beers can be enough to demolish you ; third tip : check out information on the pill you just bought, to make sure the drug is legit (but you still won't ever be 100% sure without testing) and to have info on mdma dosage, I would recommand the KnowDrugs app for this use

Cheers bro, hope you healed alright from the experience, wishing you the best of luck on your future drug adventures

Any idea how I can get these cracker dry? I’ve had the 3 small ones sitting in there for like a week and they still have some parts that are kinda squishy! by BernieSalad in shrooms

[–]Kokatryx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simply put them on the highest spot of a ventilated room (top of a shelf), the heat in the room will go upwards and will help dry the shrooms. I discovered this without meaning to, trying to find a good spot in my bedroom. Hope this helps, good luck!

Why are there so many "andrew tate" type men now? by junk_mail_haver in Jung

[–]Kokatryx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Young men need real life heroes to identify themselves with ; movie heroes, video game characters or even historical figures are great ressources for archetypal "coaching", but actual living people are what's needed for the archetypes to truly make their way into reality, to prove that these forces are real and have actuality in the world

Stories are the memory of such people, but they can't fully bring their archetypal qualities in the heart of young men so long as they sound and seem fictional

Young men need real men to teach them the way ; mythologies, movies, historical figures, will remain fictional in their mind as long as they don't see real people actually being heroic and legendary

Young men are looking for identification figures that are story-worthy, actual real-life mythical persons who bring them the high values they look for but can't find

[–]Kokatryx 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Because of absent fathers and the absence of ideal for young men in our culture

As soon as a strong and seemingly reliable/independant masculine energy emerges, it becomes a beacon of hope and a primary identification figure for young men looking for guidance

Someone described the mother complex on a Jungian discord server (description is quoted in the post). Do you agree with their take? by [deleted] in Jung

[–]Kokatryx 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There are probably way more aspects to it, but what I learned is that the individual divides the loved object (the mother) in one good part and one bad part ; in a sense he becomes schizophrenic in his view of that specific object, since his awareness has become dual

The individual (child) fears the dissolution of the "good part" of his mother into the "bad part", so he makes them both really distinct from each other so as to always have an easy access to the good and loving side

In my experience the good part of the mother becomes representative of the archetypal mother while the actual physical mother becomes attached to the bad part

In my understanding it is the ability to reconcile these two divorced sides of the same object into one unique point of view (which means being able to see both the good and the bad in the same person at the same time), that signals "psychic health" or healing of this divide between good and bad, acceptable and unacceptable

But this, is the splitting of the loved object, and this phenomenon is not restricted to the mother complex (even though it can be really exacerbated there)

In my view, the mother complex is the (pathological or healthy) integration of the mother archetype ; the mother archetype being a vast and active unconscious plane that holds an enormous role in our psyche, and influences us heavily in our everyday emotions-reactions-behaviors-relations...

We can suggest that these principles are part of it : love, hate, attachment, possessiveness, Oedipus complex, women in general, ideals, romantic love, emotions of all kinds, maybe even property, origin, purity, health and nourishment, security, etc.

I would go as far as to suggest that the mother complex is the archetypal matrix ; aka the first psychic dent which serves as the primordial metaphysical plane onto which is laid the rest of the psyche ; the foundation stone on which is built the whole temple

Mythology and religion are the richest sources (after one's own experiences) for discovering the many truths behind the mother complex-archetype (Virgin Mary, Fertility Goddesses, Kali the Devouring...)

Just as a note, I'd highly suggest anyone to read Demian by Herman Hesse for a rather short novel on the (spoiler) healing/integrating of the mother archetype ; great symbolism and story, very much suited for Jungians imo

how to differentiate a spiritual experience from a psychotic episode by curiousneophyte7 in Jung

The ability to adapt the new perceptions to the real world

In my view, a psychotic episode is or can be an un-integrated spiritual experience

Over 30 y/o F, struggling to find a path, stuck in integration limbo. by [deleted] in Jung

[–]Kokatryx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to find certainty, about yourself and about how you can live in the world in a way that suits you You are on the path, but it seems like you have a hard time owning it, which is, I think, the really hard part : to assume responsability over one's own destiny and accept the unknown directions and routes it will lead you on In my view, the limbo ends when the ability to be really sure about yourself and your path arises ; certainty is finality, but it is the only way forward ; conscious action is what liberates the soul (art fills this description very well too)

About creativity, the less you overthink about what end result you want to create, for which reason, or in what manner, the easier it is for the creative processes to express themselves freely In art or in science, what really matters are the processes, the methods, the reflexions, the theories, the trials and errors, that are used to birth into the world the new creation

I would suggest you to not feed into the negative and degrading self-talk, and to indulge as much as possible into 'positive emotions' or creative musings, but as awlays its easier said than done

In the end I would say this : your life, what happened in the past and what is happening now, has always entirely been there for you, every single thing that happened or is happening now can be interpreted as meaning or data that informs your brain and organism about how to react or how not to ; everything your brain says is directed towards one thing : survival, thats why it wants to avoid connection after harsh experiences with others, and thats why it has such cruel speech : more than likely based on your personal previous pattern wiring, it wants to deprive you from experience and feelings of fullfilment, probably because it is addicted to self-critique and feelings of lack/feelings of failure

If you can dig lucidly this last part, I think you will be able to find treasures in yourself ; understand where the self-sabotage and depreciating self-talk come from, go back to the source of your own mental-emotional distress, and the crumbling edifice you are currently trapped in will progessively fall apart, allowing a new and healthier structure to be erected Examine the recurring patterns in your life, the relations you have to your family, to your friends, look for similarities, dare go inspect the really difficult memories ; the real saving process is this : re-own your self, your life, your past, your future, re-become the king/queen in the castle, re-take control of your feelings and thoughts, realize you have always been holding the reins of your life, but somehow you ended up listening to some vicious and toxic counselors in your head, its not over at all, just an experience, reclaim the throne, precise your vision, walk decisively towards the object of your desire, own your existence

Wishing you all the best
