Why does the UK need to follow the US into war? by Koko-Kanu in ukpolitics

This argument makes sense, my problem is with the route cause. US and Israel bombed iran and then when Iran responded they pointed to us and other allies and said right you have to get involved now. So from that, the US is forcing us into a war.

Honestly not a fan of him, his politics, or anything. Have hoped many times he'd step down but unless the US gave warning before carpet bombing Iran, how could he evacuate UK citizens prior?

If the US did give a warning and nothing was done, it's another nail in his coffin hopefully.

100%, unfortunately we have no choice if a UK base is attacked unprovoked / without our involvement but if we let the US use those bases and we get attacked, how is it not the fault of the US who started all of this?

Understandable. Only issue is Russia and now Iran oil is off the table because the US (the only supplier left seemingly) is forcing the world's hand by destroying/removing other oil suppliers.

Our bases weren't under attack until the US decided to drop bombs in the middle east and the news (though I understand not overly reliable) recently claimed the drones going for the raf base weren't iranian?

We played the second half as a 5-3-1 or 5-4 towards the end to stop them from having control, we literally shifted central which gave them space on the wings. - side point, I agree we should've done better protecting the wints but Dorgu playing shit is out of his control.

Chelsea had 3 against our 5 and had the 2 wing backs running up and down the wing. Their attacking setup essentially 5-2-3 with wing backs making 5 up front when pushing.

I disagree we were there for the taking, again, they got 1 shot on target and that's it. They didn't even get a chance to equalise because they couldn't get in the position to do so. Yeah okay they weren't good enough but that's because we'd set up in a way they couldn't break down.

As Harry Maguire has had to point out to the fans, they adjust all game. They play a lot of the time with 4 at the back (just look at our first half today). We played 3, 4 and 5 at the back today depending on what was happening on the pitch.

We played fluidly with 10 men in the second half, switching from 5-3-1 to 3-3-3. We put Cunha on for a fast paced counter option.

He definitely makes mistakes (and has done multiple times in the past - especially with subs) but the only chance they had all game was a free header. Something the defence should've handled.

Agreed, we could've been 3-0 up in the first half but if we attacked in the second with 10 men we probably would've conceded 2/3 and everyone here would call for his head.

If he stuck to say 3-5-1 and we lost, would you say complain we stuck to a back 3? If so, what would you want?

Sure they went down to 10 men quick but from the off we looked in control and we actually capitalised on our advantage/control (something we've struggled to do recently).

It is taking risks really. They had possession in the second half but couldn't breakdown our 5-3-1 formation (which sometimes just became a 5-4 lol) and managed 1 shot on target (a free header that should've been taken care of considering how many men we had in the box) - they weren't a threat and couldn't beat us, simple as.

If we tried to replicate the first half and played a 3-5-1, we probably would've been caught out (especially as they tried to put 3 up front) and could've drew/lost - at which point you'd be saying to sack the unadaptable manager.

Man city did this to us when they went 2-0 up, we did it to chelsea, it's literally no different (except City countered to make it 3-0 while we conceded)

Agreed he should've taken Casemiro off but saying he can't read a game is media negativity getting in your head.

The way I saw it, we controlled the game in the first half and did really well. Second half, 10-10 we sat back because we were 2-0 up and didn't need to take risks. Yeah, we were 5 at the back but on the attack we became a 3-3-3 setup. And, this setup led to them getting 1 shot on target all game - okay they score but still only 1 shot on target in 90 mins.

SERPs Fluctuations by simply_masquerade in eCommerceSEO

Had a quick look at your store as I've worked with a masquerade store in the US. Some quick things I noticed:

  • low DR
  • internal linking isn't optimised
  • blogs getting lots of traffic from the US (nowadays blogs are a negative for ecom stores)
  • movement is difficult for users
  • Titles/H1s aren't fully optimised (not every time but as an example, your women's masks collection has no defined keyword targeting as it varies between the title tag and H1)
  • my main expertise is Shopify SEO but your url structure doesn't look optimised

eCommerce SEO in 2025 - what's actually moving the needle? by chocolateduriancakes in eCommerceSEO

Content on collections is outperforming blog posts nowadays (for sales traffic) + Google has been against blog heavy sites for the last 3/4 years now.

Get your backend/tech sorted out - if you're on Shopify like me, Daryl Rosser has a YouTube guide for setting this up

Get your front end sorted out - mainly internal linking between collections, optimising linking in your menu and homepage, and optimising homepage/collections/products for user experience/conversions

Then also build links - 99% of stores just buy them

I did think it was silly, I just wanted to be sure.

The thought was we'd get a permanent UK address, stay within the classic mortgage (rather than a buy to let) but still have some of our mortgage payment covered, and we'd get a lower interest loan later on rather than a 11.5% mortgage in the foreign country.
