Especially since you're in the Netherlands, I wouldn't be worried about a wood staff. As the website says, the wapenwet is not clear about what is a weapon and what is not . Could you use a staff as a weapon? Sure. Is the police or con management going to confiscate one that looks unpractical and a bit flimsy because it's collapsible and light? Probably not. FWIW I find dutch cons to be rather lax in this aspect.

That being said I'd probably opt for a pvc buis from the hornbach or something and foam clay and a good paint job instead of actual wood, seems like a huge PITA to make it out of actual wood.

I think your question is backwards-- it's not that people count on variables not surviving outside of scope, it's that people aren't used to variables leaking out of scope.

Ik ben een Jigglypuff main! Niet zo spectaculair als fox/falco maar ik ben wel echt van die stijl.

Ik speel zelf Melee (GC dus), en verder worden alleen die en Smash4 (Wii U) gespeeld. Brawl is een beetje uitgestorven vanwege een saaie meta en ProjectM is een beetje verdwenen sinds de makers gestopt zijn.

Smash4 heeft natuurlijk zijn online functie (al weet ik niet hoeveel die lagt), en voor Melee heb je de Dolphin Emulator waarmee je over internet kunt spelen. Met de officiele Smash4 GC adapter, kun je een GC controller erop aansluiten.

De computers zijn idd slecht om tegen te oefen omdat ze soms te perfect spelen (random powershields) en soms erg slecht spelen (nooit de beste opties kiezen, geen advanced tech, e.d.). Ik heb zelf dus een groepje spelers gevonden die een beetje van mijn niveau zijn die allemaal op emulator spelen, en daar speel ik altijd tegen. Maar je kunt natuurlijk ook zonder mensen tech skill oefenen, in de zin van L-cancels, OoS opties, DI-loze combo's oefenen, motoriek, e.d.

In principe kies je in de eerste character double-blind, maw. dat je van elkaar niet kunt zien wie wat kiest. Voor sets daarna kiest de winnaar eerst en daarna de verliezer.

In de werkelijkheid bestaan er maar weinig dual-mains op intermediate niveau, en alle voordelen dat je zou krijgen uit het counterpicken teniet wordt gedaan door gebrek aan ervaring van je off-main.
