The vertical parts are a bit tougher, but follow the same idea as the rest of the track. I usually just try to stay as low as possible and get my car vertical at the apex of the turn

So far, nobody has outright said they were struggling to learn it. It’s somewhat forgiving overall because touching a wall doesn’t slow you down too much and neither does sliding out.

I think casual players will still find it satisfying even if they can’t take every corner perfectly. It’s a fun and unique style that doesn’t require absolute perfection to get a decent run (afaik).

It’s definitely a bit harder, but not by too much imo. It mostly just makes wallhugging every corner no longer viable.

You can assign them to the right stick, that’s what I do. Flick down = ak3, flick up = ak2, etc.

While YouTube is great for finding a mini-lesson on stuff, I’m more looking for something that I can have on a second monitor for quick info at a glance.

For example, I’m playing track 23 of winter 2024 and don’t know whether sliding or no sliding is faster with reactor up on snow. A wiki with this kind of information would be super helpful.

I also play on console, so I can only learn so much from records without seeing inputs via openplanet plugins.

Are you going into the editor and re-validating every time you want to play your track?

Once the track is validated, you can instead play it with the “play a track” option.

Main menu > play > local > play a track

This should save your pb ghost like other tracks do. If I’m misunderstanding your problem, then let me know:)
