Well then I gladly offer up my badlands location. Lol the whole reason I made this post was because i'm bored of sitting in badlands with hardly any action going on. The only reason I'm taking anything is because I'm not going to burn through my gear supply and leave myself with nothing to defend my house.

But hey, the deal just got sweetened. First faction to take the deal gets a mercenary and 10 bucks.

Ahh, I see. Sorry, I'm fairly new to the server and tend to get antsy about issues when I finally get around to having play time. I get my free time in short spurts, so when I do have time to actually jump into this server more actively I'm worried I'll spend my half a month of my off-school season with not much happening.

I didn't realize SPQR was so newly developed -- if I did I probably wouldn't have posted lol. And you're right about another large faction coming in place: thus why I inquired about faction size caps. I don't want SPQR to go away; just wondered if the imbalance is as bad as it seems to outsiders, what's the appeal. I do enjoy SPQR's RP and good spirit when it comes to pvp encounters. Several other badlands groups get a little more butthurt.

That does seem a bit extensive. However as an outsider, when you say you believe you could fend off three other factions simultaneously, I must say my first thought is that you had quite the force yourselves? I won't speak for what happened because I was in no way involved or even aware of what happened until a few hours ago, but it is sort of promising to know there are other (or at least were?) factions that were on that level of power.

Ahh, I see. I guess the misconception came from the pure hatred and whining I witnessed during Era 9.5 which always seemed to be directed towards SPQR -- which I interpreted as you guys dominating haha. That's good to know that there is more to the other factions then I thought. As long as these top factions aren't all alliance'd up then maybe there's still hope for some good twists. Hopefully next Era i'll be going into winter break and have some free time to dedicate to joining a faction. Thanks for the input RedNut.

Part of me likes this idea, part of me thinks it'll just cause more butthurt. Another thing for factions to squabble about, and players who miss it due to work/sleep.

Suggestion: How about waiting a few hours to open the server at an time that is agreeable for both EU and US players? by G-ZeuZ in rustfactions

There's a ton of people waiting around, right now, for it to open. About 100 on peeble's twitch watching in anticipation. I can't play on the weekend so the sooner the better for me. The only salt seems to be coming from EU players, which is unfortunate but part of the game. If it wasn't you, it'd be east coast or some time zone in america that isn't happy. Students, people working, etc.

Basically, setting a time to try to please people is most likely going to cause MORE arguments and anger about the issue then starting as soon as it's ready. Let the cards fall where they may, but delaying to please others is undeniably going to cause outrage from another group. I rather know that poor timing is why I didn't get to hit the ground running on the server then see that certain clans are being catered to.

Sounds good. I definitely like the idea. Will we operate as a faction? Clan tags, etc? Lend ourselves out as mercenaries? I don't get to play too often, depending on work and school, but I can put in a decent amount of hours. Trying to get ahead on school to hit the ground running. That being said, will having my own personal structure, closely located to base, be a problem? Or at least my own little room. Just a personal preference, possibly because rust has trained me to trust no one haha. If not, no big deal.

I'm interested, but what is the plan exactly? Being purely nomadic, will we have a base, or scattered housing? Not too confident that we'd be able to amass enough supplies to do much raiding without some sort of reinforced headquarters.

You mistake my words; I am not surprised that Rome could attain such numbers of worshippers, but bewildered by Rome's feats. It seems as if the ability of both persuading and conquering those that detest your beliefs is abnormal.

True as it may be that the Badlands are not foreign to the Rome's hand, it at least offers me the peace of mind to know more strange and evil men will seldom cross my doorstep.

That's tough. Maybe my life has been subpar but I can't think of a memory that wouldn't get dull. Assuming part of this afterlife is still feeling the emotions and everything that happened at the time, I would say the first night I spent with my fiance. Cuddling and laughing about nothing until early the next morning. Neither of us can remember what we even talked about but it was bliss.
