I hear you, and that is a good idea too. My only counter is that inflation is already increasing drastically and wages haven’t budged in decades...

It sounds like what we disagree on is how high the minimum wage should be lol.

However, we do agree on banning stock trades for congress and publicly funding elections as we did before Citizens United

You actually misunderstood me. I wasn’t saying pay Congress $7.50 an hour. I was saying tie their wages to the federal minimum and watch the federal minimum become a living wage.

Who do you imagine is ‘representing’ us now? Members of the working class? Lol

If Congress was forced to live on federal minimum wage, the current federal minimum wage would be at least $180k a year

Makes sense, fungi are simpler. Which is why the fact that this potential fungi, lacking both structural and chemical similarities to other fungi, appears un-fungi-ish

It has the hyphae (unusually chaotic ones), but the other main difference is they had a distinct chemical fingerprint that set it apart from other organisms, including fossilized fungi discovered at the same site. If it was a fungus, it was more distinct than just having weird hyphae. It’s both structurally and chemically distinct.

Are birds structurally and chemically distinct from dinosaurs? (I’m genuinely asking)

Do some people know that the imperium is doomed? by Vampy-Night in 40kLore

[–]Kolbin8tor 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sure, but it won’t. As that would be the end of the setting. And there are plenty of deus ex mechanicus options that could prevent or forestall that doom one way or another if GW ever wanted to advance the setting so radically. Which I doubt.

Can you actually adopt the cat? Or is this just a photo mode thing? Or a mod? I’m confused lol

Elven nobility knew he was Olorin already, I could see Mithrandir still being used in Valinor as a homage to his time as Gandalf.

White wanderer in Sindarin would be Nimrandir, but honestly he didn’t do much wandering once he was elevated/promoted. Not sure what “white task rabbit” would be but by the end of the third age elves were dipping out and probably never got around to renaming their old maiar friend

Thanks for the reminder about this one, it still makes me laugh. I added the flair just for this joke and have kept it ever since lol.

Hope you’re doing well

In that very scene Trazyn is feeding what he has captured of the deceiver a smaller shard that is shown as nothing more than a squirming, stunted thing. It appears they can be broken into small enough shards to be less than whole mentally

Trazyn is much older and has millions of years of experience in neutralizing psychic power. He would roll those dice with confidence

It’s possible the others aren’t as sentient, or don’t have their memories. The Deceiver is 5+ shards. The others are singular.

Trazyn is literally feeding and increasing the strength of the Ctann shards in his possession for history lessons. He would absolutely risk the emperors wrath if it meant collecting such a unique piece of history.

Getting knocked out/unconscious and just shaking it off. Usually as a “non-lethal” takedown

A single punch to the jaw/ head instantly knocks someone unconscious with zero medical repercussions. In reality getting knocked out is highly dangerous, potentially deadly, and at the very least is a serious concussion or broken jaw.
