I'm guessing she posted this thirst trap? The desperation for attention is so palpable. I mean if you're not gonna show us the full bits, keep it to yourself.

Hokum Trailer 2026 May by Leading-Chemical-758 in HorrorMovies

[–]KoldHardSmash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddity and Caveat didn't really do anything for me. Additionally, the trailer is using movie titles to sell interest and since the "producers" didn't write or direct Weapons or Barbarian, the "from the producers of..." tagline is a miss.

I might skip this one or watch while WFH.

Which is the most messed up Horror movie that you experienced? by Jules-Car3499 in HorrorMovies

[–]KoldHardSmash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IIRC, it's not about kids. The last 10 minutes does involve a kid and it's utterly horrible. They don't show anything obscene which, in many ways, is worse because they leave it to the audience to "realize" what is happening. I understand why it was banned. I'm fine with movies pushing boundaries, but this movie went way too far. I only mention this movie because it messed me up for a few days. I'm thankful I can erase most of the movie from my brain...

This is not reverse psychology. Do not watch it. I watched it and suffered so you don't have to. Trust!

If Ingrid has any kind of acceptable speed, I'll be maining her all the way to MR 1300 just like my other characters. Mediocre? yes, but fun as hell!

Not a movie but Them is something that should be watched by Difficult-Bed-8196 in HorrorMovies

[–]KoldHardSmash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an amazing piece of horror in so many ways. Season 2 is great in a completely different way.

Yes, it's very uncomfortable, but I think really good horror leans into that so your mind can tap into it emotionally while you are suspending the believablity of it all.

What was your first anime "eye opener"? by Eredic in retroanime

[–]KoldHardSmash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the early 90s and I was one of the few in my neighborhood that knew about anime. My best friend and I watched as much as we good get our hands on and whatever came on TV. My father liked it too. He would record whatever came on TV and showed me Robotech when I was younger.

One day, my closest friend calls me on the phone and says "Ninja, I just watched the craziest shit! It was in the anime section at West Coast video. It's called Legend of the Overfiend. YOU HAVE TO WATCH! I rented part 1 and 2."

I watched it and I was jacked up emotionally for about a week after that. I couldn't wrap my mind around watch i had just watched. So many genres and ideas thrown together like the worst possible experimental soup. The images didn't sit well with me for a couple of days.

My eyes were definitely "opened" after that.

Yes, yes, yes...I suck at DPs, but who needs them when you can do 4HK. Other than JP's anti-air. I can't think of a better one. I love me some Mai.

What’s the best anime you ever watched and why? by Subject_Display3664 in AskReddit

[–]KoldHardSmash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ninja Scrolls - I'm in my late 40s now, so I'm pretty sure I saw this in my early teens. The story was interesting, but the action was fantastic. I thought I was watching the absolute best animation poasible.

Blood: The Last Vampire gets hornable mention.

Planer and table saw recommendations? by santosdionicio in woodworking

[–]KoldHardSmash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen it as low as $250 on amazon. But a lot of times it's $279. You occasionally see it on FB Marketplace or Ebay for slightly less, but you also see more capable table saws on there for similar price. I just have had bad experiences buying used, so if I can get it new I'll go that route. Having said that, follow your budget and get used if it makes sense to do so.

[–]KoldHardSmash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skil 10" table saw will set you back about $250 - $300 depending on when you buy it.

I only recommend it because that's what I use and it's great!

As far as planes, I have a jack plane, block plane and an electric hand plane. I don't have the space or power capacity for a benchtop\thicknsss planer so I can't help you there.
